Samantha Ko Forced Kate Tsui Out of TVB?

Samantha Ko (高海寧) attended an opening event at The Peninsula Hong Kong to promote its new helicopter tour. Recently a Hong Kong man known by name of Victor spent at least $400,000 HKD on an elaborate proposal to his girlfriend; he rented out a lavish suite, purchased a 1.5-carat diamond engagement ring, and hired a helicopter to fly pass the hotel room while carrying a banner written with his confession. The news trended online and became a hot topic in Hong Kong.

Samantha expressed, “I think it’s a waste of money. My friend and I have talked about it, and we all agreed that it would be smarter if he invested more on the diamond ring instead. Romantic moments pass by in a flash.”

How would Samantha feel if her boyfriend also gave her a $400,000 marriage proposal? “I would be happy, but that’s not going to happen.” On her ideal marriage proposal, Samantha said she hasn’t thought much about it. “I guess as long as we love each other, it doesn’t matter how the other partner proposes. Proposals are between two people. It’s not necessary to make it so big.”

Kate Tsui (徐子珊) recently announced that her management contract with TVB is ending soon. Rumors say that Samantha had a hand on convincing Kate to leave TVB. Samantha appeared shocked when she heard the rumors. “What? What does that have to do with me? I don’t have that much power. I’m just an employee.”

Samantha admitted that she has received more job offers over the last few months, but it has nothing to do with Kate leaving the station. “I’ve been given more opportunities, and I will try my best in all of them. I don’t want to disappoint our producers.”
