Sammi Cheng’s First Public Appearance After Andy Hui’s Affair
After Andy Hui (許志安) and Jacqueline Wong‘s (黃心穎) affair was exposed last month, Jacqueline fled to the states while Andy held a press conference to apologize for his misdeeds and announce the cancelation of his concert. Meanwhile, victims Kenneth Ma (馬國明) and Sammi Cheng (鄭秀文) both immersed themselves in work, with the latter keeping herself busy with rehearsals and meetings for her upcoming concert in July at the Hong Kong Coliseum. Today, reporters caught a rare sighting of Sammi on her way to rehearsals and bombarded her with questions about the cheating scandal.
At around 2:30 pm, Sammi arrived outside of the dance studio in Kowloon City in a seven-person car. Dressed in black athletic clothing from head to toe, and sporting a cap and a mask, Sammi surprisingly stopped for pictures. She left when a reporter asked if she had anything to say.
When she left the studio, more than 10 workers accompanied Sammi. The artist did not respond to any questions and hurriedly boarded the car to return to her residence in Clear Water Bay.
On the same day, Sammi uploaded a photo of herself at rehearsals. She said, “Sorry, it’s a photo in the rehearsal room again. Today, in addition to rehearsing, there were also meetings. There is still a lot to be solved, but I keep telling myself to solve it one day at a time, not to be afraid, not to be confused, and not to be distracted. The most important thing is to eat and keep my body healthy.”
Actively preparing for her concert, Sammi frequently shares her progress with fans on Instagram, but refrains from discussing about her marriage. She tries to keep her captions positive to distribute positivity to her audience.
