Selena Lee’s Fiancé Revealed to Be a Personal Trainer

Since getting engaged in February, Selena Lee (李施嬅) did not reveal the identity of her noncelebrity fiancé, and only referred to him as Mr. C. Close friends including Nancy Wu (胡定欣) and Elaine Yiu (姚子羚) declined to disclose further details, and only praised him for being a great man.

The media has now discovered his identity, revealing Selena’s fiancé to be Anson Cha (車崇健), the personal trainer of many celebrities including Chow Yun Fat (周潤發) and Aaron Kwok (郭富城). Anson has done well for himself, and owns over $10 million Hong Kong dollars worth of properties under his name.

Since dating three years ago, the couple has kept a low profile. When meeting with Anson outside, Selena would take extra precautions and plan ahead to keep the paparazzi off her trail.

Dinner Date With Anson

Returning to Hong Kong secretly after going to Toronto to film Canadian series Blood and Water, Selena purposely uploaded a photo of herself on the airplane to social media days after she had actually landed to avoid speaking with the media.

After completing her quarantine, Selena immediately met up with Anson for dinner at a Japanese restaurant. Although excited to see each other, they were careful to not attract attention and did not have many intimate interactions.

Around 9 p.m., Anson was seen sending their friends off. Selena exited the restaurant half an hour later, and purposefully maintained distance from Anson while wearing face masks. They were careful until the last minute, each driving separate cars. However, both cars headed towards Aberdeen where Selena lives.

Praises Boyfriend’s Personality

Once Selena learned that the identity of her fiancé is known, she shared that they met each other through friends. Even though he is a personal trainer, he has never trained her. “He is not from the entertainment industry, and I want to protect his privacy. He is a very low-profile person, and I don’t want to affect him. However, I am training him so hopefully he will be less shy in the future.”

Reporters stated that Anson seemed very attentive, and Selena happily agreed, “He is a real gentleman. That night, we were eating dinner with my girlfriends because I had been in quarantine for so long, and he took care of everyone.”

Despite frequent travelling for work purposes, Selena and Anson have adapted to managing a long-distance relationship when necessary. Both have their own careers and life, so they have a mutual understanding.

Due to the pandemic, Selena has not given too much thought over wedding details yet. “My mother lives in Canada, so the wedding must take place in a safe environment.”
