Selena Lee Will Not Ask for a Raise to Reshoot “Forensic Heroes 4”

After Jacqueline Wong‘s (黃心穎) affair with Andy Hui (許志安) was exposed, Forensic Heroes IV <法證先鋒IV> producer Mui Siu-ching (梅小青) announced there would be a reshoot for the series to delete Jacqueline’s scenes. Selena Lee (李施嬅), who publicized her departure from TVB just last month, is returning for the reshoot in a month. The 38-year-old star frankly said, “I did sign some contracts in America, but the schedule is not confirmed yet, so I’m still waiting on that. I told Siu-ching that I would try my best to accommodate the reshoot.”

She continued, “We worked really hard and filmed for five months, so I really hope that the drama can be broadcasted.”

Although the actress didn’t have many scenes with Jacqueline, the two did share some scenes together. “Most of her scenes are with Raymond Wong Ho-yin (黃浩然), but I’m Raymond’s neighbor, so we do have interactions,” Selena shared.

In the drama, Selena knew Raymond since they were children and the two has a close relationship. Raymond’s character often confides in Selena’s, even though Yumiko Cheng (鄭希怡) and Jacqueline play his love interests.

Does Not Blame Jacqueline

Recently, it was announced Roxanne Tong (湯洛雯) is replacing Jacqueline in the drama. Selena looks forward to working with her, as they’ve never filmed a drama together yet.

“We’ll start shooting in the middle of next month. The script is still being adjusted, so we’re not sure how much time is needed to reshoot yet, but I think Siu-ching will do her best not to affect us too much because she’s aware everyone has other commitments,” Selena expressed. “Yes, the incident affected a lot of people’s work arrangements, but I’m happy to be able to be back at TVB and see everyone whom I’ve missed!”

When asked if she will ask for a higher fee for the reshoot, Selena stated, “I didn’t think about my pay because I can’t be selfish and think about myself at this moment. It’s a group matter, and we have to face it as a group. I won’t think that I can bargain for more money now that I left the company. I’m going to help the matter the best I can, and the best reward would be to see the drama air.”

She added, “No one wanted the incident to happen, and everyone encounters unhappy events in their lives. Instead of focusing on the problem, we should see how we could solve it.”

However, she opted not to contact Jacqueline so as not to disturb her. But she did message Kenneth to show some support. “I’ve actually known him for over 10 years – my first historical drama was with him. But they all need space during this time, so I don’t want to bother them,” Selena expressed.
