Seungri’s New Business Ventures After Prison Release

Found guilty and indicted for nine criminal charges, which included sexual bribery, embezzlement, and illegal gambling overseas, ex-Big Bang member Seungri served one year and nine months in prison before he was released in 2023. Due to his involvement in the Burning Sun scandal, his every move became heavily scrutinized by the public. The recent BBC documentary, Burning Sun – Exposing the secret K-pop Chat Groups, brought renewed attention to the scandal and Seungri.

After staying out of the public eye for more than a year, Seungri is finally ready to make his next move. The media quoted sources in Thailand saying that he is preparing to open a nightclub in Cambodia. The source may have its merits, as Seungri was photographed at a birthday bash in a nightclub in Cambodia earlier this year. Hosting a fan meeting in Cambodia, Seungri even boasted he would bring Big Bang’s leader, G-Dragon.

In addition to reports of opening a nightclub in Cambodia, Seungri also allegedly has plans to expand and invest money in other nightclubs as well. Spotted at parties in Hong Kong recently, it is rumored the disgraced Kpop star is planning to start a nightclub business in Hong Kong as well, although the news has yet to be confirmed.

  1. His news on most sites feels very sanitized. What his nightclub did. It’s very concerning if he is going to open more nightclubs in Cambodia and HK

  2. doesn’t matter what the truth is about what he did. his fans will believe and love him. You could say he’s a rapist and john all day long, they are going to say it’s made up and he was framed for him. it’s appalling how some of these people think and twist reality.

  3. So basically nothing’s changed about him. I can’t believe he got such a short sentence for the amount of lives he’s ruined. I just watched the BBC Burning Sun documentary, and everything made me sick to my stomach. I seriously can’t believe how he still has supporters.

  4. He’s gained a lot of weight compared to his golden days which means it might not have been bad jail time after all.
    World is full of justice.

    1. @m0m0, sadly you are so right. We usually have so much evidence that these men, and some women are also guilty of horrific crimes. We will always be surrouned by cult-like fans who worship these evil doers.
What is sad is he went to jail and still chooses to follow the same path that landed him in jail in the first place. He has not changed at all,and should be blacklisted, kicked out from the entertainment industry.

  5. Update!! GD is now a professor in KIAST and he’s preparing his solo album, so it’s unlikely he’ll be contributing in Seungri’s nightclubs. <3<3<3
