Shiga Lin and Carlos Chan Welcome Baby Girl

First-time parents Shiga Lin (連詩雅) and Carlos Chan (陳家樂) welcomed their baby girl, Camila Chan, who weighed 5.9 pounds. Witnessing the birth of his first child, Carlos was emotional and teared up when he cut the baby’s umbilical cord.

Sharing several snaps of their growing family, Carlos’ eyes were noticeably moist and red. He excitedly expressed, “Baby has finally arrived. We’re so happy! As a newborn, baby girl is already very active and moving her arms and legs everywhere. Some say Camila has her mother’s eyes and inherited my nose. I can’t tell yet myself. I’m still very nervous right now and have a bit of a headache. I cut the baby’s umbilical cord. It was a very special experience, but also a very surreal feeling. I can’t explain it.”

Carlos added, “I thought I wasn’t nervous and could calmly soothe my wife as she gave birth. I came up with over 1000 jokes and 500 bad puns. In the end, I was so nervous when I entered the delivery room that I felt light-headed. I couldn’t mutter a single thing. The only thing that came out of my mouth was ‘I love you.’ Actually, I have been very irresponsible during this time. A few weeks before the delivery date, I flew out for filming. I was worried the whole time, but Shiga insisted I go and she would take care of herself. She prepared everything for the baby’s arrival. The mother is truly the greatest when it comes to ensuring a baby’s safe arrival into this world.”

Shiga needed a small dose of sedatives to calm her nerves. “I was so nervous, my upper body was shaking uncontrollably. When it came time for actual labor and delivery, it didn’t hurt as much as I thought it would. My daughter was very good and came out quickly. When I saw my daughter, I was both excited and touched. I forgot all about the pain! The most miraculous thing is my daughter would stop crying when I hold her in my arms!”
