Shiga Lin Shares Parenting Update

Welcoming their daughter Camila via caesarean section on July 18 this year, first-time parents Shiga Lin (連詩雅) and Carlos Chan (陳家樂) embraced a joyous new chapter in their personal lives.

Freezing Her Stash of Breast Milk

Rushing back to Hong Kong one day before the scheduled C-section to be present for the birth, daddy Carlos had personally cut his daughter’s umbilical cord. As he had to fly off to Malaysia to start filming on his new drama merely a week later, Shiga took on the bulk of parenting duties during this period, and in the blink of an eye, the adorable newborn has already turned 2 months old.

Insisting on exclusive breastfeeding for their firstborn, Shiga wrote in her social update, “For the first five days after the birth, milk wasn’t coming in…after that, I slowly stored the freshly expressed milk, now I’ve about six weeks’ worth, and hope to store as much as possible.”

The new mom’s IG story revealed three layers of their home freezer filled with her stash of breast milk supply, estimated to be around 300 packets!
