Shin Min Ah’s “No Gain No Love” to Premiere in August
Shin Min Ah is back in another romantic comedy. Her newest drama with Kim Young Dae, No Gain No Love, just released its first character trailer.
The story centers around Son Hae Young (Shin Min Ah), a woman who is an expert at calculating loss and profit and hates losing out on anything. She decides to get married because she realizes she may be passed up for a promotion at work. She enlists Kim Ji Wook (Kim Young Dae), a citizen policeman who works part-time as a convenience store cashier to become her fake husband. He has a righteous personality and is always willing to help others, which is how he finds himself in this predicament.
The trailer shows Hae Young’s frugal personality as she looks sadly at her wallet while at a wedding. Taking money out of her wallet, she mumbles to herself, “Congratulatory gifts should be given and taken, but I’ve just been giving.” Faintly in the background, she shouts, “Ah, my money….” She continues, “I don’t like taking any losses and I don’t like giving either.” Later when asked what her name is, she boldly states, “Son Hae Young,” which can directly be translated to “having zero losses.”
No Gain No Love is scheduled to premiere on August 26, 2024.
