Shu Qi Stars in New Netflix Drama, “The Resurrected”
After starring in the Hong Kong-Taiwanese television series, Duke of Mount Deer 2000 <小寶與康熙>, Shu Qi (舒淇) has not appeared in a Taiwanese drama since. Recently, she announced her return to Taiwanese projects, as she will work alongside Angelica Lee (李心潔) and Alyssa Chia (賈靜雯) in the new drama, The Resurrected (回魂計).
The mystery thriller follows the story of two grief-stricken mothers who seek to resurrect a deceased ringleader of a fraud scheme to avenge their kidnapped daughters. The suspenseful and eerie drama will follow the two mothers as they navigate through physical and mental dangers, while exploring the multi-faceted layers of human nature.
For the first time in her career, Shu Qi portrays the role of a mother whose complex character teeters the moral compass. With many scenes alongside Shu Qi, Angelica portrays the other desperate mother. Alyssa will be portraying a lawyer. In addition to the enticing storyline, viewers are excited to see the on-screen chemistry between the three female leads.
The Resurrected is scheduled to air on Netflix this year in the third quarter.
