“Sinister Beings 2” Releases New Trailer
Hoping to repeat the success of Sinister Beings <逆天奇案>, TVB will be airing the series’ second season in 2024 that will star returning cast such as Ruco Chan (陳展鵬), Rosina Lam (林夏薇), Crystal Fung (馮盈盈), Ben Wong (黃智賢), Joman Chiang (蔣祖曼), Jonathan Cheung (張頴康) and Moon Lau (劉佩玥).
The new season was showcased in TVB Sales Expo 2024 where fans were treated to a new trailer. In Sinister Being 2, the plot continues to revolve around international terrorist attacks while continuing to follow the “Tiger case” from the first season.
Jonathan Cheung Returns in the Sequel
In the first season’s finale, the final villain Ngai Tsz Lok (played by Jonathan Cheung) was delirious after inhaling carbon monoxide and he mistakenly thought that Cheung Hei (played by Crystal Fung) was his wife Yau Lai (played by Moon Lau). However, the screenwriter did not write the character off and Ngai Tsz Lok is returning in the sequel.
In the sequel, Ngai Tsz Lok strives to avenge his dead wife and plots his terrorist attacks while in prison. Meanwhile Moon Lau is also making her appearance in the sequel, but it is unclear how her appearance will relate to Ngai Tsz Lok’s plans.
Ruco and Rosina’s Shaky Relationship
In Sinister Beings’ finale, many fans were disappointed that Ruco and Rosina’s characters did not end up together. The two characters broke up after Hui Chun Sum (played by Ruco Chan) had a drunken night with Cheung Hei.
In the trailer, Hui Chun Sum and Ma Wing Sze (played by Rosina) have a frosty relationship and Ma Wing Sze commented, “We shouldn’t be friends.” Fans are waiting with anticipation to see if the two characters will reconcile.
A Mole in the Organized Crime Bureau?
Also in the trailer, Hui Chun Sum suspects that there is a mole in the bureau with a scene of him surrendering his police ID card. The plot thickens with Hui Chun Sum is later seen being prosecuted.
More surprises await as Kenneth Ma (馬國明) makes a cameo appearance while wearing his lawyer outfit from TVB drama Speakers of Law <法言人>. Fans are excited to see the crossover of the dramas.
