“Sinister Beings 2” to Air on April 1

Sinister Beings 2 <逆天奇案2> held its press conference on March 29, though cast members Rosina Lam (林夏薇), Alex Fong (方力申) and Matthew Ko (高鈞賢) were absent due to work. As producer Lau Ka-ho (劉家豪) announced his retirement earlier, the sequel is likely to be his parting drama!

Guest-Starring Surprises in Store

The highest rated drama of the year 2021, male lead Ruco Chan (陳展鵬) hopes the new sequel can go beyond 30 points, “Hope that this time we can do even better, but most important is how viewers feel,” Hoping that Lau Ka-ho will not retire as yet, he quipped “The X-Files” <X檔案> also had many seasons…he’s mentioned retirement last season and now again,”

Sharing that there are many new elements and roles in this sequel, Ruco teased that viewers can even look forward to guest-starring roles by Kenneth Ma (馬國明); even producer Ka-Ho and Mui Siu-Ching (梅小青) will be making special appearances!

Nicknamed “Temptress of the nation” for her role in Sinister Beings, it was initially thought that actress Crystal Fung (馮盈盈) will be dropped from the sequel, but scriptwriters have taken a risk by giving her character a “180 degree transformation” – she makes good and marries Matthew’s character. “It will be up to the viewers whether (my acting) is up to par, in this season I will embrace a new personality and turn a new leaf, and even help to bring Rosina and Ruco together,” said Crystal.

Supporting actress Rosita Kwok (郭柏妍), who plays a third party in actor Fred Cheng’s (鄭俊弘) marriage, will also have many firsts in the drama, including her first and boldest intimate scene. “I’ll have a little nudity opposite Fred, I’m a little nervous, but he is very professional so it wasn’t too abashed.”

Miss Hong Kong 2019 winner Carmaney Wong (黃嘉雯), who ties the knot again onscreen, shares that she doesn’t mind putting on a bridal gown again in dramas, “As long as I look good!” However, the 30-year-old is not yet ready to settle down with rich 2G boyfriend Jordan. “Career comes first, there’re many roles I’m keen to try, why would I want to get married so soon?”
