Sire Ma is 5 Months Pregnant

Having kept her personal life on the down low in the past couple of years, Sire Ma (馬賽) made a surprise marriage announcement on Instagram at the beginning of the year. The 31-year-old shared photos of her husband and marriage certificate along with the caption, “For the rest of our lives.” Just as the good news is being digested, it appears there is another happy announcement on the way – Sire is speculated to be five months pregnant!

Currently residing in Beijing with her husband, allegedly a rich second generation outside of the entertainment circle, Sire has not decided whether to give birth in the Mainland or Hong Kong yet. Reportedly carrying a baby boy, she is extremely cautious and even going on a work hiatus to concentrate on her pregnancy, with her mother immediately flying to Beijing to take care of her. In addition, the Buddhist is more dedicated than ever to copying and reading Buddhist scriptures for the benefit of her baby and her family.

Sire also occasionally makes soup for herself and eats light and healthy meals. Posting them on social media, she wrote, “Although it looks very simple, I am very fortunate that I can cook my own healthy nutritious meals. Cooking is just as important as acting – inspiration is very important.”

When asked if she has good news to share, Sire smiled happily and said, “Thank you for your concern. If there’s good news later, I will tell everyone. Right now, I am living very happily. My in-laws love me and they’re very good to me, but since my husband is not part of the entertainment industry, I want to maintain a low profile and not reveal too much.”

Although she is in Mainland most of the time, she often keeps in touch with her entertainment friends in Hong Kong, such as Myolie Wu (胡杏兒) and Elaine Yiu (姚子羚). Last December, she returned to Hong Kong to join artists Sabrina Yeung (楊埕) and Mina Kwok (郭千瑜) to attend actress Vivi Lee’s (李美慧) holiday party. Four months pregnant at the time, Sire deliberately wore black to hide her curves, but she appeared bloated in pictures. In regards to Sire’s pregnancy, Sabrina said, “I don’t know, but if it’s true, then of course congratulations to her. [On that day] she was in good spirits, of course being a wife, she was happily fat.”
