Stanley Cheung Got Bitten by a Dog While Filming
The unprovoked attack was so serious, Stanley had to undergo surgical treatment.
Stanley Cheung (張景淳), known for his role as Kung Yip in Come Home Love: Lo and Behold <愛回家之開心速遞>, was injured after being bitten by a dog while filming an outdoor scene for the drama recently. Stanley’s injury was reportedly so serious he had to stop work immediately for surgery at the hospital.
On the evening of July 24, his Instagram Story showed a close-up of his left hand, which was bandaged from his pinky finger across the palm all the way to his wrist, with the words “Waiting for surgery,” leaving many fans worried.
Responding to media queries, Stanley’s manager Winnie wrote in a message, “Thanks everyone; no need to worry. Stanley is now okay and is resting at home–thank you for the concern.”
The actor himself also replied in a message on the following morning, saying that he had been waiting to undergo surgery since he arrived at the hospital the previous evening. He added that he had not made any provocative actions, but was bitten by an agitated dog at the scene, which had been arranged to appear on set by the production team as part of the day’s filming, hence the accident was wholly unexpected. According to his Instagram update on the morning of July 25, he had undergone full anesthesia for the surgery, and was having his first post-operation meal.
A Dog Lover
A dog lover, Stanley often updates his social media with images of himself interacting with different dogs. Although his beloved pet dog had been sent to live with his family in Canada, the actor was still upset when he got news last month that it passed away.
Rumored girlfriend and Come Home Love: Lo and Behold co-star, Koni Lui (呂慧儀), said, “When I started work today, I heard production colleagues talk say that he was bitten by a dog on set. As dog bites can be very serious, I called him up to express my concern, and hope that he can recover speedily and resume work soon!”

That looks like a pretty serious injury to require surgery under GA. Hope he gets well soon!
