Stellar Casting Excites Fans
Exciting fans with his return to the superhero genre, Seo In-guk who debuted as a singer in 2009 gained recognition as a credible actor through his impressive acting. Showcasing his potential in Reply 1997, he has since appeared in several popular dramas. His recent works have shown very different sides of him: in the 2022 film Project Wolf Hunting, he played a ruthless villain, breaking from his usual image, and in the fantasy drama Doom at Your Service, he portrayed a character on the brink of falling into hell, touching many viewers.
In recent years, Ma Dong-seok has enjoyed both critical and commercial success with the The Outlaws series and also became the first Korean superhero in Marvel Studios’ Eternals, where he shared touching scenes with Angelina Jolie.
It is worth noting that this will be the first reunion of Seo In-guk and Ma Dong Suk in eight years since their highly acclaimed drama Squad 38, where they played a genius con artist and a tax force chief. Their remarkable chemistry in that drama impressed even the other cast members, and despite airing on the relatively niche OCN network, achieved a high rating of 4.6%.
Meanwhile, Ji Chang-wook’s new historical drama Queen Woo has already begun airing, and he is also actively appearing in JTBC’s variety show My Name is Gabriel. His upcoming project Gangnam B-Side is set to premiere later this year.
