Synopsis for “Two Steps from Heaven”

TVB’s latest drama Two Steps from Heaven <幕後玩家>, a drama about the public relations industry, premiered on Monday, October 24. Starring Bosco Wong (黃宗澤), Edwin Siu (蕭正楠), and Louis Cheung (張繼聰) as three PR experts who swing through the upper classes of Hong Kong society with their expertise.

TVB hasn’t released the premiere numbers for Two Steps from Heaven yet, but with the surge of related articles released this week, it appears that the Joe Chan (陳維冠) drama, one of TVB’s anniversary dramas for 2016, has been doing quite well, albeit a bit controversial. Many viewers, especially those who work in PR, have been quite disappointed at how PR agencies were portrayed in the series, criticizing the drama as unrealistic.

Two Steps from Heaven, produced at 35 episodes, will air its series finale on December 9, 2016.

Under fate’s calling, Sean re-encounters ex-girlfriend Max Ku (Priscilla Wong) and her younger brother Ted (FAMA’s 6-Wing), who turn out to be the children of a powerful real estate mogul Ku Fuk-sang (Pat Poon). Under the leadership of Max’s older half-sister Selina (Alice Chan), the business becomes one of the top players in Hong Kong’s real estate industry. With Max pulling the ropes behind the scenes, the PR trio enter a period of prosperity, and they do whatever they can to make their way to the top.

But the higher they climb, the more they have to lose. They eventually forsake their families, loved ones, friends, and even their dignity—all because of one woman.

    1. @yummiki24 ikr… First 5 episodes were quite disappointing. Other than affairs, chasing after girls nothing much. Hope it picks up next week. A good cast deserves better a better plot.

      1. @dramadrama planet meow is horrible. Moses has a horrible hairstyle. There is no chemistry between Nancy and Moses. Kristal doesn’t fit in. Scientific conversations don’t make sense. Eddie Kwan will do better as Ah Sir in a police drama.

This PR one sucks. Ok, Bosco is cool and suave. Louis is a glib talker. That’s about it.

      2. @janet72 Lol. AGREE with you. Meow planet should not be made.

PR so far nothing attracts. I hate Bosco character. Louise seems to be the only good person. I just can’t stand married men portrayed as Romeo and cool for having affairs. Especially with a child. Some writers brain is ethically screwed up.

      3. @dramadrama i was shocked Bosco had an affair with Moon’s character in the first episode…then subsequently he left the flirting part to Louis and showed his wedding ring. Ridiculous! He had a one night stand with a new employee and yet didn’t flirt because he is married? what is wrong with the person who wrote the plot?

  1. Same old same old.

Why Edwin? Why is TVB stuffing him down our throats again and again and again? I am choking here man! Choking! Can TVB release me from this torture? Current crop of TVB actors are mostly just.. crap or old or charisma-less or all three. HELP!!
