Synopsis of TVB’s “K9 Cop”
TVB’s 20-episode police comedy K9 Cop <警犬巴打> will be premiering on February 9, 2016, behind TVB’s other new comedy, Short End of the Stick <公公出宮>. K9 Cop, produced by Wong Wai-sing (黃偉聲), stars Bosco Wong (黃宗澤) and Linda Chung (鍾嘉欣) in their fourth collaboration, their last being 2012’s Witness Insecurity <護花危情>.
The comedy drama about police dogs also stars Raymond Wong (黃浩然), Tracy Chu (朱千雪), Oscar Leung (梁烈唯), Angel Chiang (蔣家旻), Rebecca Chan (陳秀珠), and Jerry Ku (古明華).
After losing both parents at a young age, Lai Yat-tsau (Bosco Wong) becomes a parent figure for his three younger sisters. His mother’s death and his father’s fall to drug addiction turned Yat-tsau into a very quick-tempered and chauvinistic man.
Originally assigned to the Kwun Tong Police Station, Yat-tsau’s superior transfers him to the K-9 unit to work with police dogs, hoping that the strict training would better shape his character. Yat-tsau is appointed to work with a K-9 called Brother, but Brother does not take a liking to him.
During this process, Yat-tsau steps on the wrong end of veterinarian Ma Chi-ho (Linda Chung), and the two strong personalities clash. But Chi-ho, who needs Yat-tsau’s help in mending her estranged relationship with younger brother Ma Chi-chung (Oscar Leung), volunteers to aide Yat-tsau in improving his relationship with Brother. Through Brother, Yat-tsau and Chi-ho develop an interesting partnership and chemistry.
With Chi-ho’s help, Yat-tsau and Brother bond. Brother also helps Yat-tsau track down the drug dealer Lui Kam-dong (Jerry Ku). Just as he is closer to solving the case, Yat-tsau’s partner and close friend Fai Chung-lim (Raymond Wong) breaks an unwritten rule in order to keep a secret, putting a dent on their brotherhood. This also gets Chung-lim’s girlfriend and Yat-tsau’s younger sister, Jil (Tracy Chu), into a near-fatal disaster.
Kam-dong returns for revenge, and uses his younger twin brother Kam-bo, who has been working as an informant for the cops, to concoct a trap. Yat-tsau, Chi-ho, and Brother team up to save their friends.

looking forward to see Bosco and Linda !
Oh great, ANOTHER bickering turns romance pair. *roll eyes* Can’t they come up with a different rom-line? Oh double great, twin! Wonder if they had a roundtable and said, “hey let’s have all of cliche that we’ve used for the past decades into one series!”
Who’s Jerry Ku? Quick google search indicated it’s the guy who play So Gay??
With complain aside, at least the cast isn’t cringe-worthy. I like both Bosco and Raymond. I’ll give this series a try.
I love Bosco in comedy type dramas, he pulls off the cheeky mischievous characters really well!
I feel like this drama is probably more tailored to the younger audiences with the young(ish) cast and the Korean vibe poster. But I’m really looking forward to this drama, hope it doesn’t become a let down.
Woohoo Bosco and Linda pairing again ^^ cant wait to watch this and 公公出宮 cant wait for a good laugh
I guess they decided to air this because Raymond Wong he was supposedly the 5th eunuch with Power, Wayne and so on… it will be very interesting these two series leading by veterans and not by the miss HK n00bs!
Been waiting for a good Bosco drama for ages. I was hoping for a more serious one, but I’ll take anything atm. Since Bosco is great at comedy so I have no worry, but plot is quite predictable. I do love Bosco and Linda together and always hope to see them as a couple again with a happy ending. Let’s hope it’ll turn out good.
Like Tracy and Bosco
I like bosco and Linda, funny versions of hui sir and Kiu chi lam, with a happy ending!
