Taiwanese Model Claims She’s Received Flirty Text Messages from Show Lo
It’s been a PR nightmare for Show Lo (羅志祥) and his team as they scramble to revive his image after his ex-girlfriend, Chinese social media influencer Grace Chow (周揚青), exposed Show for cheating on her with multiple women.
Soon after Grace’s public censure of Show, more and more rumors about Show’s promiscuous private life started piling in. Taiwanese pseudo-model Romy Lu (呂亞晞), better known as Ge Ge (格格), claimed that she was one of the girls who had received some of Show’s flirty messages. However, in order to not burn bridges and to maintain respect for her senior, she had politely rejected Show’s advances.
According to Romy, her and Show became acquainted after meeting each other for work around March to April 2019. After their work collaboration, Show reached out to her and they maintained in contact.
As suggested in their text message exchanges, Show was clearly attracted to her. He eventually became more forward with her and texted, “Excuse me for being too forward, but your body and personality are my type. You’re a great match with me.” He then expressed interest about purchasing her gravure photobooks to support her. He said he wanted to take care of her because she “[was] working so hard.” Show insisted on picking her up after work, and asked her evasive questions, such as whether or not she was wearing tight clothes, or which hotel she was staying at.
Romy said she tried to shrug off Show’s advances, but he was persistent, and asked her if she would be interested in going to a Europe tour with him because she loves Europe. Romy eventually declined him, saying that she prefers finding her own jobs as she enjoys her independence. She tried to reject him in the most polite way as possible, as she didn’t want to be disrespectful to a senior in the industry.
Show’s reps have reportedly denied about the existence of Show and Romy’s text exchanges. Romy’s manager said that they are seeking advice from lawyers. Some netizens have expressed their doubts about the text messages, as it is possible that the person who reached out to Romy was only posing as Show. This wasn’t the first time that someone had posed as Show to connect with girls.
