Tavia Yeung and Him Law Move to a New House for Good Feng Shui

After changing their names, married couple Tavia Yeung (楊茜堯) and Him Law (羅子溢) has been enjoying success in their career. This year, Tavia is the hot favorite to win TVB Best Actress Award and Tavia is hopeful that her husband can win the Best Actor Award for his role in Happily Ever After? <婚後事>. Hoping to continue to receive good luck, the couple also moved to a detached house with better fengshui.

As a believer of feng shui, Tavia has been seeking ways to improve her family’s luck. When she gave birth to her eldest daughter in 2020, Tavia hired a master to help her family change their names. Providing details of her decision, Tavia wrote on her social media: “Actually changing name is a kind of fate. After the baby was born, we hoped that our baby will have a better and healthier future. We made this decision but it wasn’t due to superstition.”

Recently, the couple sought guidance from a master and quietly moved from Tai Bo to Sai Kung. Paying monthly rent of 60,000 Hong Kong yuan to live in the 43-years old detached house, the location was not only convenient for Him to go to work, but was also believed to help bring the actor good luck in winning the Best Actor Award. The family quickly settled in and they had several celebrations at their new house including their 8th year anniversary.

In an interview, Him shared tidbit of their life in their new home, “It’s not as much about spiritual energy. The main reason for moving was to accommodate the children for their school. We also wanted to live closer to Griselda Yeung (楊卓娜) so my mother-in-law doesn’t have to travel to see her two daughters.”

When asked if his house’s feng shui will help him win the Best Actor award, Him responded, “Good feng shui would normally help, but whether it works or not will be left for the audience to decide. I’m so happy to have my wife’s support. Actually, the most important thing is that the audience likes to watch my performances and remembers the series.”

Him also shared that he and Elaine Yiu (姚子羚) are about to travel to Malaysia for a fan meeting and he will also be there to discuss other job opportunities.  Him has been keeping busy with taking singing lessons and he hope to improve his vocals should an opportunity comes along.

  1. If not due to ‘superstition’, why changed both their names at the height of their career? Just curious
