Tavia Yeung Hopes to Spend More Time with Family
Known as a filial daughter, Tavia Yeung (楊怡) sees her family more important than anything else in life. With her significant increase in workload over the past years, the TV Queen revealed she barely has time to interact with family members. What Tavia wants most at the moment is to be able to spend more time with her mother, who has always been providing her with endless support.
Motivated from the Approval of Others
Throughout the years, Tavia possessed an ordinary state of mind, exerting her best efforts in each aspect of her career. She preferred to achieve things one step at a time, and received practically all the awards TVB has to offer in the respective order. After being named Best Actress in both Hong Kong and Malaysia in 2012, Tavia continues to thrive in her career. This year, she successfully took home a newly added award from TVBC – China’s Most Popular TVB Female Artist.
Although awards are important, Tavia values the approval of those around her the most. She expressed, “Not receiving any awards does not mean you have failed in the acting industry. Receiving the approval of my colleagues, fans, and viewers is what motivates me to continue my hard work.” Tavia’s TVB management contract is almost coming to an end, but she has not revealed her future plans at the moment.
Enjoys a Simple and Familial Life
Tavia explained how her busy lifestyle made her unable to spend as much time as she would like with her family. Filming and promoting dramas often take up most of her time. “My family is more important to me than anything else. But sometimes, I don’t even have the time to eat with them on holidays. This can last for months. Right now I just want to spend time with my mother and bring her to different places. I want us to have more time to get along.”
In the future, Tavia imagines her wedding to be a simple but intimate one. She shared, “I do wish to start my own family one day, but I’m not fond of holding large banquets. [My wedding] does not have to be grand. I like it simple, and it’s fine as long as my family members are all there.” Tavia’s dream after marriage is to be able to live in the same apartment building as her mother, but in different units. This way, her mother would not have to constantly worry about her and everyone would still have personal space.

I was watching the JOnathan Li pranks show and I was impressed with how fast she agreed to lend quite a sizeable amount of money to Roger Kwok whom she refers to as her big brother and she has his little sister. She sounded so different on the phone than in interviews or in front of the media and I like that natural sounding girl better.
Yes, on that Johnson Lee show she agreed to lend him a big sum of money very quickly, no question asked.

yes, tavia has never looked very young 🙂 The face of a women is so much affected and influenced by the media that when there is a natural face of a women without photoshop, it’s deemed to look like “transvestite”.

I agree with her looking old. For her age, she doesn’t age gracefully. The more works she did to her face, the more older and ‘transvestite’ she looks.
Many beautiful women look like transvestite, such as Linda Chung, Karena (Raymond’s girlfriend, forgotten her surname), Kate Tsui, Anne Heung, and so on. What’s wrong with that?

Tavia just naturally has a mature looking face. Her face is also not natural. I have noticed celebs that are natural like Liza and Angie fir example have aged well because they did not mess with their natural looks. People that have had PS or too many enhancements will see it falling apart as they age.
lol, well getting back to the topic of the article, she’s one very filial daughter. Good to see she’s able to spend more time with her mother during her current break off work. Really hoping she can opportunities to film mainland series this year as she had hoped to do so!
Her mom is lucky and I wished that her late father was still able to enjoy her success. Hope that she can get a long brawl to rest up,spend time with her family and enjoy life. What is the point of having lots of money if you cannot even spend time with family and enjoy life?
