Tavia Yeung Responds to Contract and Marriage Rumors
It was reported earlier this month that Tavia Yeung (楊怡) may not renew her TVB contract when it is due to expire this April, leading to speculation that she is leaving the “mother station”. But the Silver Spoon, Sterling Shackles <名媛望族> actress said the news was misconstrued, stressing that she never said she was leaving TVB for sure.
“We are still in negotiations,” said Tavia. “[I] never said I would not renew my contract.”
Tavia disclosed that the core of their contract talks concern time and management. “I want my job to be more relaxing so I would not always look as tired whenever I meet the public. We are talking and planning many things right now. Don’t worry.”
Asking if the possibility of her renewing the contract is high, Tavia said, “I’ll let you know the good news when it happens.”
What about money? “The more the happier of course, but I am hoping to improve the quality of my work. I want to try many different things and I hope [TVB] would be able to help me fight for better opportunities. Money really comes second.”
The 2012 TV Queen also admitted that she would like to have more time to rest. “I’m getting old now! It’s very hard to shoot dramas back-to-back. Even if they’re both high quality productions, it would not be good for my health.”
Asking if Tavia is tired of TVB casting her in the same roles over and over again, she said, “Not really. I played many different roles. But what I really want is to play a happy character. Maybe film a comedy.”
Denies Marriage and Pregnancy Rumors
The news of Tavia’s contract expiration led to rumors that she is preparing to settle down with boyfriend Him Law (羅仲謙) and start a family. Though Tavia said the rumor isn’t true, she did not deny the possibility, even hinting that it might come true in the near future.
“If this happy occasion happens I’ll definitely let everyone know. Let’s hope that comes true. When the day comes I’ll definitely announce it,” she said with a smile.
She also denied getting pregnant. “My body still looks great. There’s no reason for speculation.”
Mentioning that fellow TVB actress Linda Chung (鍾嘉欣) is rumored to be three months pregnant, Tavia said they texted each other over the Lunar New Year holidays, but she did not ask Linda about her private life in those texts.
“I have to ask her about this! If it’s true then that’s great! I know Linda loves children, but I doubt [the rumor] is true.”

@freedalas: Yes yes, The Other Truth 2 with Ruco and Tavia ending up together. I enjoyed the bromance between Ruco and Louis/Raymond too. Any drama with Ruco is good ! 🙂
Tavia basicaly has 2 option stay in Tvb while Tvb Has no good Leading Actress, she can negotiate a pretty good contract and that most likely what she will do, or get married. She wont hit anything big filming for mainland china film/series, they have better Actress that are much more pretty with large fan base already. (she need to be younger to have a chance)
@johnst Option 3, quit showbiz and open her own business. There IS LIFE OUTSIDE of TVB/entertainment and marriage.
@jjwong I’m pretty sure Him Law can do that with her since he’s making more money outside tvb. Lol. I still think Him Law are too cute for her she must hit a jackpot.

@happybi well I don’t know but I do remember she dated an older rich man before not sure what cost them to break up though. Well the reason I say she hit the jackpot it’s because Him Law is younger and good looking man too. So for her look and age she definitely hit the jackpot. I always thought her and Moses Chan can make a cute couple.
@asian2015 it could be just me as I am not a fan of Him. Never was a fan of him but really dislike him after the incident with his ex gf. Was pretty surprise when Tavia started dating him. Just hope he really is a change man. Tavia is know to be frugal and saved up a lot of money. Also is good to her family. That is why I think he is lucky. I actually used to like her with Chris Lai and Ruco.
@happybi yes I have heard of Him and his ex girlfriend story before that’s why lots people are worried about him going to fix her nose since she’s got a real long nose. To be honest I’m not really crazy about him just that he’s such a good looking guy that’s all.
Let be honest Tavia is richer than Him Law and he set for life once he marry Tavia
