Tavia Yeung Tells Mavis Pan to Back Off from Raymond Lam
Tavia Yeung Yi and Kenneth Ma Kwok Ming appeared at the praying ceremony for TVB series, Return to the Three Kingdoms <回到三國>yesterday. Tavia felt that it was a pity that Raymond was betrayed in love and encouraged Mavis Pan Shuangshuang not to continue to pressure him.
Noting that true love warrants mutual respect, Tavia said, “Ethical people will do ethical things. I am incapable of acting this way. I hope she [Mavis Pan] does not hurt Raymond. You can hold on to him if you have the capability. In love, you should not publicly criticize him. You should settle the matter between yourselves.”
After realizing that Mavis Pan intended to release a pictorial, Kenneth Ma thought that Mavis may be seeking publicity with the recent turn in events.

The stakes are high and in each subsequent interview, Mavis seems to spew worst accusations towards Raymond’s path. It sounds like she is ready to bring him down with her: mutual destruction. If Mavis’ intent was to ruin Raymond’s reputation, she is succeeding. IMO, there is definitely a stronger motive behind Mavis’ “confessions” rather than just seeking personal publicity. Raymond believes so too and he is basically pleading her to stop and let go of her hatred.
Raymond and Mavis news has overshadowed Isabella Leong and Richard Li’s split in intense public scrutiny. Raymond’s news also seem to overshadow this year’s Hong Kong Film Awards news, which will take place this Sunday on April 17th.

Gees, is it really any of Tavia’s business and who is she to butt in to an affair that has nothing to do with her. Definitely not a situation where friends,co-workers and that sort to comment. UNLESS, she was involved in a 3P with them, then definitely she would try to add her two bits to close this thing off. Somehow, I just can’t seem how this thing is going to die down so easily. It’s going to get quite fugly before Raymond gets out.
I don’t find anything wrong with Tavia standing up for Raymond since they are collegues and friends. Myolie and others at TVB all blasted Mavis as well so what is wrong with Tavia saying something?? I am guessing that Tavia and Raymond are friends, so what is wrong with standing up for a friend???
@yuaida Yeah, I agree with HeTieShou. I don’t see what’s wrong with Tavia to voice her opinion and back up her co-worker in a situation like that, especially if the reporters asked. Furthermore, Tavia and Raymond have been good friends and have known each other since the day they entered the industry as they were together in the same training class.

It isn’t just Kenneth, but Tavia doesn’t look so great in this photo either. She looks old and scary.I think she has way too much make up on.
its just a reallllly bad picture. these photographers either suck or have no photoshop skills. contrast and brightness are too high, the picture is grainy too and over sharpened.
@Funn, I hope that isn’t Kenneth’s hair in the new drama, but does it really matter since he’s filming in ancient hair and clothes after he returns to the Three Kingdoms Era anyway? He looks better with his hair covering his forehead, but maybe this way is easier for him to wear his ancient wig?
Frankly, both may be at fault. Anyway one thing’s for sure; Mavis’ career in TVB is over before it began, if it will ever begin.
I doubt TVB would have been interested in her anyways. TVB don’t really promote sexy girls – like Koni. But yes, both are at fault and just need to get pass and move on. Mavis should try to move her career forward with her own talents n abilities.
TVB is weird. They promote sexy girls (e.g. bernice, fala etc) but when it comes to sexy girls with big busts they turn them down.
I mean imagine if Mavis wore that bikini that Fala did on the show when she was on the yatch. Bottom line is, it’s okay to show cleavage when you don’t have much to show but if you’re spilling out of your top, then its cheap
@Suki Although Bernice has a nice body figure and has lots of endorsements of many products, I don’t think she ever went the sexy route to advance her career. As for Fala, I remember hearing how Virginia didn’t like her in the beginning of her career because she was constantly making the HK tabloids headlines and flirting with many men. Thus, Virginia didn’t support her to being fadan; however, it’s quite obvious that Fala is an ambitious woman and she does care about her career. Her flirtatious nature isn’t displayed in the headlines anymore as she has a stable boyfriend now. Btw, does anyone know when she started dating her current boyfriend? How did they meet?

I don’t think they are done filming because they did cancel a scene so that probably why he still has it, no offense but the fake ratios that TVB gives are kinda crappy. This whole thing with raymond lam and Mavis pan is just boring now, no one fickin cares anymore thEy should both just let it go and move on…ahhhhh I hate that girl she was the one who brought it all back up, it was dying down and she just had to bring it up. I mean thE thing was practically dead. And there are other more important things in th entertainment industry and world.
I feel that regardless of whose fault it was for them to break up, it all the past now.. However, Mavis keeps on bringing it up… I think she wants as much attention and publicity as possible. SHe is trying to milk as much milk out of the cow as possible.

I think friends shouldn’t comment too much about Raymond’s relationship. If they are friends then they should just give him space and make a general statement like, “It’s best to give him some space. I think that will do him some good,” or “This is a personal matter. Won’t comment on it.” It’s turning into a war and the papparazzis will keep their tabs on both Mavis and Raymond.

I agree, but I understand why Raymond’s friends and colleagues spoke up. I’m not blaming them. It’s easy for us to tell them to not say anything and no comment is the best comment, but they are the ones who are personally closer to him and may know more about the situation than we do. Just imagine if it is one of your close friends caught in this predicament, you might feel the need to stand up for your friend.

Nobody will never know if it’s Mavis’s or Raymond’s fault that it’s turned this ugly. Thing is, Raymond has just been upholding this pretty boy image all these years but the public doesn’t really know what his true-self is like. Has the media ever linked them together? Tavia is one of the few celebrities out there that hardly ever has any gossip and rumored news with male co-stars and artists. Perhaps this is due to her tomboyish nature.
The media did, back in 2003 or 2004 when they were filming TOB and they went back a few days later than the crew.
And in 2008 (if I rmb correctly) during TVB anniversary where they held hands and let go when the camera “caught” them.

It seems like his fans are still very supportive of Raymond despite having constant negative news and his relationship with Mavis Pan. They are sure die hard fans till the end.
Ray and other celebrities are role models for the young ones but how many of them listen to their idols? Hard to tell. Look at Kelvin Kwan and Janice Vidal’s drug scandal. They didn’t set a good example for the younger generations because they smoked marijuana and did heroin, which makes them think that doing drugs are okay. Kelvin and Janice shouldn’t even touch it in the first place at all.

That’s what I thought too! a normal looking person wouldn’t possess such a perfect looking eyes,nose, chin and etc. Tavia’s face is a bit way too perfect..nothing bad about it…but TVB will FIND it hard to give her any ugly looking role since her facial is too 100% perfect.
Anyway back to the above topic, I truly think Tavia should stay away from answering any questions on Ray’s issue. People will think she’s an airhead for helping Ray without putting herself into mavis’ shoes.
I don’t find Tavia’s face perfect and I think she did get her nose done. I remember that her nose looked bigger back then… Of course she will not admit it if people ask her. Who wants to admit that they have artificial beauty??
@starry Oooooooo… I thought the same thing. I never bothered to care, but I noticed that her nose was sharper and appears taller than before, especially when in profile view in The Rippling Blossom. However, I was doubtful since Tavia doesn’t seem like the type who will go through plastic surgery to enhance her looks. Always thought she was a good girl who sells her acting more than looks.

She didn’t undergo plastic surgery before, but she and Sharon Chan did go through this intense natural face massage thing that makes your face look skinnier. They were on TV because of it before, and the host of the show was explaining it to stop the rumours of them having gome through plastic surgery.

its truly a proven fact what we read is very different from what was really said or happened. I actually watch this interview and goosh how they twisted her words. She was asked about the situation, and her answers was very neutral (as usual).

Sort of off topic, but just saw a recent picture of Carol Cheng with no make up and it scared me… It is also because she has had so many plastic surgery procedures that her face is now sagging and the fake features are wearing out due to age… I wonder if that is how Mavis will look since she has had a lot of plastic surgery too?? I guess that is the downside to plastic surgery, you may look and feel great in the short term, but in the long term you will suffer the consequences since your features are fake and not natural.

You can go through that thread and see other celebs with no make up. I think they have no make up… I don’t think many of them would be caught in public without it…Therefore, I wonder how many of those pix are actually them with no make up on at all??

Sorry if it scared you but you wanted to see it…It totally scared me too. I heard that Dodo didn’t wear make up because she was going through some plastic surgery procedures, so her doctor told her to not wear any make up.
I think Cecilia, Guigui, Gillian, and Charlene look the best without make up. Make up seems sort of like a drug to me. It’s like once you use it, you can’t do without it.

Yea, everyone ages but it’s just that some age better than others. It is always better to age naturally instead of unnaturally. I totally agree that if Dodo just let herself age naturally, she would not have looked that bad.
