TFBOYS Roy Wang and Karry Wang Reunite for “L.O.R.D II”
On May 9, character posters for the upcoming summer film L.O.R.D II were dropped, revealing first sneak peeks of characters in the Chinese CGI film.
L.O.R.D II is the direct sequel to 2016’s L.O.R.D: Legend of Ravaging Dynasties <爵迹>, an IMAX 3D film which starred Fan Bingbing (范冰冰), Kris Wu (吴亦凡), Cheney Chen (陈学冬), Lin Yun (林允), William Chan (陈伟霆), Amber Kuo (郭采洁), Yang Mi (杨幂), Aarif Rahman (李治廷), and Roy Wang (王源). The action adventure film was shot entirely with CGI, and takes place in a fantasy world where four war-torn countries are protected by a group of soul masters. It is created and directed by Tiny Times <小时代> creator, Guo Jingming (郭敬明).
According to Guo, L.O.R.D II will start where the first film left off. New characters will be introduced, alongside the return of old characters. “Most of the characters from L.O.R.D 1 will return, and a new cast of characters will be introduced in L.O.R.D 2 as well,” said Guo. “The characters that we are all already familiar with will be facing a brand new challenge.”
Guo has yet to reveal the names of the new cast members, as he insisted on keeping the cast a surprise. However, an accidental Weibo post by Guo revealed that Karry Wang (王俊凯), a member of TFBOYS alongside Roy Wang, will be playing a new character in the sequel. This revelation came after Guo shared a screenshot of Karry in costume alongside his bandmate. Karry’s darker appearance and makeup have led to the speculation that he will be playing a villain role.
Though the post was quickly deleted by Guo within a few minutes, many netizens managed to save the photo. Netizens and fans were curious as to why Guo deleted the post, and speculated that the marketing team had requested Guo to delete it. Other netizens believed that the act of deleting the post after sharing it is a promotional tactic to keep fans interested in the film’s content.

was the first one even good? didn’t watch since the cgi was so badly done
I think CGI looks good to me but I just can’t stop being bothered by, would computerized character be able to show the same expression as real human?
