“The No No Girl” Starring Adia Chan Premieres April 10

Adia Chan (陳松伶) will be making her big TVB comeback next week with The No No Girl <全職沒女>, premiering on Monday, April 10. Known as one of TVB’s biggest fadans of the 90’s, The No No Girl is the 46-year-old’s first TVB drama since 2006’s Trimming Success <飛短留長父子兵>.

Adia costars Eddie Cheung (張兆輝) in this fairytale romance about 40-something-year-old divorcee and her unlikely prince. After getting dumped by her groom, the house-less and job-less Adia finds a job as a trainee at one of the city’s biggest hotel organizations. There, she finds that her boss, Eddie, was the man who had a drunken one-night stand with her years ago, which was the reason behind her failed marriage. To make matters worse, Eddie had completely forgotten about her and the incident. Adia and Eddie immediately get off at the wrong start, but they eventually find mutual respect.

Eddie did “a lot of homework” when he first received the role of Chong Fu-ho. His role is that of a wealthy, dignified businessman and a single father. Eddie said, “I hung out with a lot of my friends who do business, and I studied their mannerisms so I could include them into my character.” Eddie added that Chong Fu-ho is a workaholic who does not know the pleasures of the world until the later part of the series.

Adia’s role, Law Lai-ching, is described as “natural loveaholic” who still longs for a fairytale romance despite her turbulent experiences in love. No amount of failure can deter Ching from her goals. Adia, who hasn’t had the opportunity to play a comedic character before, finds the role fun and challenging.

Produced by Andy Chan (陳耀全), The No No Girl also stars Jeannie Chan (陳瀅), Owen Cheung (張振朗), Erin Wong (王卓淇), Brian Tse (謝東閔), Helena Law (羅蘭), Amy Fan (樊奕敏), and Eileen Yeow (姚瑩瑩). It premieres Monday, April 10.
