“The Secret of Us” Becomes Girls Love Hit Drama

Gaining massive popularity in recent years, Thai BL dramas have propeled many Thai male stars to fame across Asia. Recently, GL drama The Secret of Us unexpectedly skyrocketed to fame, breaking the BL drama market dominance and successfully propelling its two high-profile leading ladies to stardom—Hong Kong-Thai mixed actress Ling Ling Sirilak Kwong (鄺玲玲) and rising 22-year-old Thai actress Kornnaphat Sethratanapong (Orm).

Ling Ling, now 29, is of mixed Hong Kong and Thai heritage. Born in Hong Kong, she returned to Thailand at the age of 17, where she later graduated from Khon Kaen University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Tourism Management.

Fluent in Thai, English, Cantonese, and Mandarin, Ling Ling’s stunning looks earned her the title of Miss Khao Suan Kwang in 2018. The 1.68m beauty later joining Thailand’s Channel 3 as actress and model through successful auditions.

Two years ago, she landed her first lead role in the Thai romance drama Makkali The Love Tree, portraying the fairy Theerak, a role that earned her the “Outstanding Rising Actress” award at the Global Star Media Awards 2022. Additionally, she appeared as a guest host in popular travel show Thailand Rogered <冲遊泰國> hosted by Roger Wu (胡慧冲), sharing tips and insights on exploring Thailand.

Apart from dramas and variety shows, Sirilak also starred as the female lead in Thai superstar Win Metawin‘s music video for his song Too Late. The two were later spotted together in South Korea, which sparked dating rumors, though both denied the relationship, clarifying that they are just good friends.

Following the airing of the final episode of The Secret of Us, the cast held fan meetings in Bangkok, Macau, and Hong Kong. Expressing her happiness, Ling Ling thanked her Hong Kong fans for their support and encouragement, which helped her confidently be herself, while fulfilling a long-cherished dream, making the event deeply meaningful to her.
