The Uncanny Counter” Returns for Season 2
South Korean drama The Uncanny Counter 2 is expected to premiere in the second half of 2023 with the original cast including Jo Byeong Gyu, Yoo Joon Sang, Kim Se Jeong, Yeom Hye Ran and Ahn Suk Hwan reprising their roles
Adapted from a webtoon of the same name, the drama follows a group of demon hunters who disguise themselves as employees of a noodle restaurant. The first season had a successful run as it saw its rating jump from 2.7% to 11% by the finale and broke the network’s record for the highest rated drama. Many viewers praised the drama’s fresh theme, the cast’s strong acting and the thrilling storyline.
In the sequel, the demon hunters have become stronger and develop new superpowers. With a new demon hunter joining the team, the heroes will face new challenges and new powerful demons.
The production team has also announced Jin Sun Kyu, Kang Ki Young, Kim Hieora and Yoo In Soo will be joining the sequel
Jin Sun Kyu will be playing a passionate firefighter who can’t stand injustice. Kang Ki Young who starred in Extraordinary Attorney Woo will play a demon who strives to become the strongest demon and Kim Hieora who stared in The Glory will play an innocent ghost. Meanwhile, Yoo In Soo will play the demon hunter’s newest recruit.
