TVB Artistes Perform at Lunar New Year Show
At yesterday’s TVB Lunar New Year event, Chairman Thomas Hui (許濤) gave his holiday greetings and was surrounded by The Righteous Fists <鐵拳英雄> and Freedom Memories <青春不要臉> cast in observing the festivities.
As this year is TVB’s 55th anniversary, Hui stated the company is working towards integrating their resources and is developing their e-commerce business and digital platform for film and video. TVB will also expand their businesses in the Guangdong, Hong Kong, Macao Greater Bay Area as well as globally.
The TVB sports programming department has already arrived in Beijing to prepare for interviews at the Winter Olympics. They have also prepared a theme song involving over 60 artistes and the Stars Academy participants, which was released in China and all mainstream platforms yesterday.
The station’s Lunar New Year show featured Ruco Chan (陳展鵬), Joel Chan (陳山聰), Elaine Yiu (姚子羚), Natalie Tong (唐詩詠), and Hoffman Cheng from The Righteous Fists. The cast sang Lunar New Year tunes, and Elaine even sang in the Minnan dialect.
Seen currently in Freedom Memories, Karl Ting (丁子朗), Kayan Yau (游嘉欣), and Dickson Yu (余德丞) also performed on stage while promoting their drama.
Other guests Joey Law (羅天宇), Lincoln Hui (許俊豪), Adrien Yau (丘梓謙), Randal Tsang (曾展望), and Marktwo Lee (李紹堅) also performed a dance song. Lesley Chiang (姜麗文) showed off her language abilities, singing a New Year’s song in French.
Host Mayanne Mak (麥美恩) started off her new year with good luck as she was the first one to win during the company raffle. She excitedly exclaimed that she may even be able to get married this year! Three Miss Hong Kong participants also won red pockets.
