TVB Finally Celebrates Bowie Lam’s Best Actor Award
Bowie Lam, Linda Chung Ka Yan, Nancy Sit Ka Yin, and Sunny Chan Kam Hung appeared at the praying ceremony for TVB new series,Jiujiang’s Wine <九江意醲>yesterday. In December, Bowie received the Best Actortitle at the 15th Asian TV Awards held in Singapore . Bowie indicated that TVB has organized an event to celebrate his victory.
Was the 15th Asian TV Best Actor Award more prominent than the TVB Best Actor Award? Bowie said, “My competitors for the award included actors from Japan , Korea , Thailand and other Asian countries, so it was an honor to win.”
Nancy Sit revealed that her daughter turned down concert show offers due to concern for Nancy ’s health. However, this increased Nancy ’s performance fee to over $100,000 (HKD) for singing three songs.

Jayne: TVB’s television awards have the benefit of good marketing and whether people agree with the results or not, it is still one of the most highly anticipated television awards shows.
Bowie Lam is a fine actor so I am glad that he received the recognition. I was very excited when Bobby Au Yeung’s performance in “Dicey Business” earned him an International Emmy Awards that year. Yes, there are more prestigious international television awards, but in Hong Kong , the media only covers TVB Awards predominately.
Yeah – i was thrilled for Bobby getting that award even though I didn’t really enjoy Dicey Business at all.
Is this new series a spin-off of Country Spirit 1 and 2? The title seems like it ..
Bobby didnt won the award. He was nominated, if that counts.
Did Bobby win? I rmb he is nominated but don’t rmb I saw his name on the list of winner. So far in the list of Asia TV Award, I rmb Myolie won Best Comedy Actress and Lam Fung won Best Actor before Bowie and Susan this year.
Bobby was nominated but he didn’t win in the end. I think the nomination is already amazing and love his versatility as an actor. I only wish he filmed more series with TVB but now he’s focusing on mainland. I hope his new TVB dramas coming up this year will have good ratings/good plot.
Yes I remember Raymond Lam won the Best Asia TV Actor for this as well, but I also remember TVB holding a big celebration party for him :X
Wow, I cannot wait for this new series come out. All of my favorite actor and actress are in there….I always love watching Bowie and Sunny and Linda of course.
well Bowie said it well! Of course it is better to compete against others out of your own co but even then that award seems to concentrate more on popular series. There are more deserving series who was not nominated or didn’t win.
It’s about time. Bowie winning the award while not even making it to top 5 @ TVB!!!??? This just makes TVB look bad.

I can understand how the they work “internally” but when it comes to pushing talents & scheduling series’ air slot, they’ll just Totally Very Bad
The series that can make big in TVB/HK normally aren’t welcomed in oversea market. Best example is BTROC which is totally neglected in Korea.
