Having worked with Lau from 2010’s The Mysteries of Love <談情說案> to the more recent well-received Sinister Beings <逆天奇案> series. Ruco reminsced how he had gone from watching Lau’s series growing up, to later being casted in his productions. The 47-year-old promised that he will surely show up with any signal from Lau Ka Ho, once the latter has rested enough and is ready to make his comeback with Sinister Beings 3.
Kenneth also expressed his admiration for the blissful marriage and career achievements of producer Lau and his wife Mui Siu-ching (梅小青), calling them a “model couple” in showbiz, while their son, who dabbles in law, has also helped serve as drama consultant for the series Speakers of Law <法言人>.
Kenneth said, “I sometimes tell my wife (Roxanne Tong 湯洛雯) that it is very romantic to hold hands while strolling the garden together when we grow old, so I made a promise to do that with her,” Rosina, who specially returned to Hong Kong from Hengdian where she was filming a Cdrama, lets on that she would pack ice packs and medication to work to prevent heat stroke due to the 40°C heat in Hengdian.
The star of the evening, Lau Ka Ho shared that even before his retirement, he has already been approached to film Sinister Beings 3, while TVB general manager Eric Tsang (曾志偉) even “warned” him to rest for just a while. Open to doing what he does best again, the veteran producer said, “I’d say never say never…after my wife Siu-Ching took a 4-year hiatus, she was really rejuvenated, there’s a huge difference when you are pressurized versus feeling at ease. I’ve worked for 50 years, and would really wish to take a long, relaxing break, it might be one, two years or longer…I will leave it up to time to decide whether there will be a third sequel,”
