TVB Producer Poon Ka Tak Brought Tavia Yeung and Him Law Together
Attending TVB veteran producer Poon Ka Tak (潘嘉德)’s retirement-cum-birthday party, Tavia Yeung (楊怡) and Him Law (羅仲謙) are grateful to Tak Gor for bringing them together with the popular drama series The Hippocratic Crush <On call 36小時>.
When asked which is his most memorable work with the producer, Him replied that it has to be The Hippocratic Crush, as “The show gave me an award and also my wife! Many thanks to Tak Gor who gave newbies like me many opportunities.” The couple started dating after working on the successful 2012 drama, in which Tavia and Kenneth Ma (馬國明) were an onscreen pair.
As for Tavia, her other unforgettable experience working with the producer was the drama Eternal Happiness <再生缘>”in 2002, as she was still relatively new in the industry and had a memorable experience filming the show in Mainland China.
Celebrating his 70th birthday, Poon Ka Tak is behind many of TVB’s hit series, including Detective Investigation Files <刑事侦缉档案> series, The Hippocratic Crush and most recently Threesome <三个女人一个因>. Stars who attended the party last night include: Liza Wang (汪明荃), Raymond Lam (林峰), Jessica Hsuan (宣萱), Niki Chow (周丽淇) and many others.

wow, the producer’s 70! but he did produce a few great hits. TVB needs some new blood though.
These photos of “The Four” with Myolie Wu and Tavia Yeung remind us of how much time has passed. Although they’ve all gotten older, in my mind, I still see them at their peak in their 20s since that was when they made their deepest impression on my mind.
Everyone has gone their separate ways. It’s interesting to see that the ladies have gotten married, but aside from Kenneth, the other actors are not close to marriage yet.
DIF 1 & 2 were and still are one of my favorites. The Hippocratic Crush 1 was quite good, given the drop in production quality of TVB drama in general.
What about the pictures of Louis and Jessica? They attended as well and Tak gor talked about how he got so much grief from fans for “breaking up” the two of them in DIF IV, lol. I like Tak gor…he produced some good series back in the day, though ones from recent years have been so-so. Happy retirement (and birthday) to him! 🙂
