Variety Show “Boyscation” Release May Be Delayed
After Eric Tsang (曾志偉) and Wong Cho Lam (王祖藍) stepped into their managerial roles, TVB planned many new and innovative content to appeal to the younger demographics and to keep up with the times. One of the new variety shows that have stirred the most excitement is gay dating show, Boyscation <仔仔一堂>. The show will star 10 men between the ages of 20 and 40.
One of the participants include Juzco Nam (藍源瑋),, a social media influencer with more than 100,000 followers. Another is handsome head chef, Kenny Yang (楊平).
The show was initially planned for a November release on TVB’s J2 channel. However, it was recently reported that the show may be shelved and not air on its intended air date, as it was not included in the TVB Sales Expo which highlighted upcoming programs.
Producer and show host, Vinci Wong (王賢誌), was reached for comments regarding the airing date. Vinci expressed that he has no news to share, and deflected the questions to J2 Creative Director, C Kwan (C君).
TVB later issued a statement that the speculated airing date and broadcast platform the for program are not accurate, but did not clarify any additional details.
