Vincent Wong Praised for Shirtless Scene
TVB Anniversary series, With or Without You <東坡家事>, has aired to respectable ratings and positive reviews. In a recent episode, Vincent Wong (王浩信), who portrays a flirtatious scholar, showcased his toned physique and six-pack abs.
Braving through cold temperatures to film the scene, Vincent’s hard work and dedication garnered him praises from veteran actresses, including Liza Wang (汪明荃), Mary Hon (韓馬利), and Elena Kong (江美儀). Mary praised that Vincent is extremely professional and encouraged him to keep working hard. In addition, Elena also left him a message on Weibo and said, “I have always doted on you and supported you. Continue working hard!”
In response to the supportive comments and encouragement from fans and friends, Vincent responded with a heartfelt message on his Weibo, “In order for these wrestling scenes to appear genuine for my beloved ladies, I maintained a low fat diet. Although I was tempted by all the delicious meals with the crew after work, I refrained and only satisfied my cravings by smelling them. Furthermore, [I went through] three months of intense training. I hope everyone can share this sense of sincerity with me.”
Vincent’s costar in the film, Joey Meng (萬綺雯), also praised him heavily. “Not only is [the scene filmed with] sincerity, there is also unconditional perseverance! Little brother is the best!”

Seriously Vincent should relying on gimmicks like these to promote himself. How many times do we have to read about him showing off his body or stripping to his undies or being slapped silly? If he has substance, he doesn’t need cheap gimmicks like these. It gives the impression that he’s trying too hard and that’s very off-putting.
@isay I don’t think it’s his own idea to strip. He’s only following the script. He’s not the only actor who has to strip nowadays in TVB series. Louis Cheung and Timmy Hung has to strip or be shirtless in their respective series too.
@kidd You’re right i guess. Don’t know why TVB loves to resort to such cheap gimmicks. But he seems to love the attention nevertheless.
Ugh, he really digressed imo. I used to like him. Now he’s way ott. I could barely stand him in his first lead. In this drama, he’s cringe worthy. Everything about him seems fake and unnatural from his movements ro his dialogue. He needs to take a chill pill and be natural. Don’t force funny.
I never thought he was attractive…even with those muscles. He strikes me more as a family man…I find those types hard to fantasize about lol.
How many can strip their shirts and look this good eh? But frankly he was more buff before he married; that peek a boo scandal.
So far am enjoying this series and his performance.
@funnlim that peekaboo scandal was suspected to be another publicity stunt. See what i mean about this guy trying too hard to get noticed? Anyway if you love muscles, yr eyes will hv a feast with that new drama Heroes of Inner City which is currently filming. You can have your pick of Ruco Benjamin Philip or even the other Vincent (forgot his surname, the one formerly from ATV).

I have the same thoughts and his face looked a bit like a young Damien Lau in the above photo. However, I do not think Damien ever stripped like that even when he was young.

Now you mention it, he did look a bit like the young Damien Lau. But I don’t think Damien Lau ever has that muscular body. So, stripping is not for him. He’s more the gentleman/scholar type.

Totally agree with you. When I said he looks like Damien in the above photo,I meant only the face. Yes,Damien did not seem to have a muscular body but is more like a scholarly type as you mentioned.
it’s a double standard when actresses don’t get such criticism when they show off their cleavage and boobs.
Not a fan of him but gotta say… he is buff.. good body.
Tbh really tired of seeing male artist being shirtless in dramas its freakin pointless sigh……….
