Vinci Wong Had a Low-Key Three Year Anniversary with Husband
TVB artiste turned chairman of Tung Wah Group, Vinci Wong (王賢誌), is happily married to his husband, Kevin Chow (周思聰), of three years. Vinci, who holds Canadian citizenship, married Kevin in a small wedding ceremony held in Vancouver, where same-sex marriage is legal.
The former TVB artiste made a rare appearance in Hong Kong this week, where he attended the grand opening ceremony of a new drink shop. Vinci expressed to reporters that he has an interest in opening up a coffee shop with Kevin, but also acknowledged that the food and drink business is a difficult industry. “The people today can just stop working if they wanted to. Even their bosses now have to wash the dishes. I would love to open up a coffee shop to serve my friends, but it’ll be hard to get time off for vacation.”
August 1 was Vinci and Kevin’s third wedding anniversary. While in the past the couple would go overseas for their anniversary bash, they decided to enjoy the celebration locally with close friends. “In our first year, we went to Okinawa. In our second year, we went to Europe. We never celebrated it in Hong Kong before, so that’s why I decided to call up some friends last minute to celebrate with us. I also wanted to give Kevin a surprise, and my friends also helped keep the secret. I only had Kevin be in charge of the flowers. He was surprised and wasn’t expecting so many people were invited! (How about a celebration with just you two?) No need to. We’re always together.”
