“Well-Intended Love 2” Opens the New Season with A Lot of Sexual Tension

Seven minutes into the first episode of Well-Intended Love 2 <奈何BOSS要娶我2> and we already have a kabedon scene. A few more minutes in and we get to see the male lead kissing the girl’s hand. Half an hour later the sexual tension burns into a fire.

Starring the same cast but featuring a different story, the second season of last year’s surprise hit Well-Intended Love is already firing up the idol drama scene in China. Starring Xu Kaicheng (徐开骋), Wang Shuang (王双), and Ian Yi (易柏辰), the second season continues the idol romance between the handsome “Lingshi Group” CEO Ling Yizhou and the rookie B-list actress Xia Lin. They pretend to be a couple for a reality TV show, each for their own gains, but they soon realize that they actually care more about each other than they think.

With the “parallel universe” concept, the second season includes many easter eggs nods of the first season, delighting fans. Ling Yizhou and Xia Lin’s romance also develops at a much faster pace, leaving more space for fans to invest in their relationship.

Well-Intended Love 2 premiered on February 13, 2020 on Sohu TV and Tencent Video. It is also available for stream on iQIYI Taiwan. Netflix distributes the show internationally.
