Which Actress Will Star with Raymond Lam in “Line Walker 3”?
After announcing that Raymond Lam (林峯) will be returning to TVB, the station has confirmed that the 39-year-old actor will star in Line Walker 3 <使徒行者3>. But aside from Raymond and Benz Hui (許紹雄), the female lead has not been confirmed yet. Speculations quickly arose that Ali Lee (李佳芯) and Nancy Wu (胡定欣) are most likely to land the coveted lead.
Initially aired in 2014, Line Walker was extremely popular and peaked with viewership ratings of 37 points. Line Walker was also Raymond’s last TVB drama, in which he left the station for five years and signed with EEG and subsequently Louis Koo’s (古天樂) management agency Sky High Entertainment. Though Raymond is currently under contract with Sky High, he will be filming television dramas with TVB.
In 2017, TVB cast Michael Miu (苗僑偉), Moses Chan (陳豪), Jessica Hsuan (宣萱), Benjamin Yuen (袁偉豪), and Pakho Chau (周柏豪) in Line Walker: The Prelude <使徒行者2>, but viewers’ response was only lukewarm, with ratings only at 27 points.
The story for Line Walker: The Prelude took place before Line Walker, and the series ended with Kenneth Ma‘s (馬國明) appearance and the case files of Charmaine Sheh (佘詩曼) being opened. It is speculated that the time frame for Line Walker 3 may take place between the first two series.
Although TVB has not announced who will be the female lead in Line Walker 3 yet, the possibility of Ali Lee getting the role is very high. The TV Queen has already completed filming heavyweight dramas Big White Duel <白色強人> and Assassin <殺手>, and will definitely have time to film Line Walker 3 around June, when Raymond’s schedule will be free.
Another likely actress is Nancy Wu. Showcasing her ability to handle action-packed scenes in A Fist Within Four Walls <城寨英雄> and The Unholy Alliance <同盟>, Nancy will be a great fit for Line Walker 3. Last year, Nancy also made an appearance in the film Men on the Dragon <逆流大叔>, which was produced by Louis Koo’s company. Since Nancy worked well with Louis’ company and is also TV Queen caliber, she may be cast opposite Raymond in Line Walker 3.

Why are they continuing with the Line Walker series?
Do they not have any other scripts they could have offered Raymond for his come-back????
happy Raymond is back but seriously Line Walker 3 and without Charmaine is a big no no… we’ll have to see how this turns out, though I am happy to see Benz return as well.
@vodka line walker got Raymond, benz hui and michael miu already good enough. and can add in some rookies no problem. For female lead really hard la the current one mostly cannot use. haha. Need a pretty girl with good acting? Is there any? ^^
@vodka Agreed absolutely. Charmaine was the limelight of the whole drama series “Line Walker”. Without Charmaine as a partner, Raymond Lam would not have had that kind of high ratings.
TVB is really milking LW
TYPICAL garbage TVB tactic. Lol
I hope it’s Nancy because Ali can’t act.
@hazel
Yeh…Ali has just easily been the best actress in the last couple of years…
They should maybe do ‘The Mysteries of Love II’ instead if TVB are so desperate for a Raymond Lam sequel. Other than that let’s come up with new material please. I thought Raymond wants to try ‘different roles’ to satisfy his acting bug. If returns to TVB to do same character in Line Walker III then he is a liar and a hypocrite! If he comes back to portray a totally different character in an unrelated Line Walker then i’ll let him off…
@jimmyszeto I watched that drama before…the ending is sweet when he proposed to tavia’s character.
I thought Benz had retired and moved to Singapore isn’t it? It would be nice if they can cast Mandy Wong, Zoe Tam, Tracy Chu or Elaine Yiu.
@cutie777 I agree with your list. These actresses are likeable. I also am fond of Selena.
@potatochip well if Selena is going to be in it then I would like her to paired up with Kenneth Ma they look so cute together.
@cutie777 I would like to add Annie Liu and Nancy Wu to the list. Charmaine is still my top choice.
@summer I’m not too sure about Annie Liu since I haven’t watched any of her movies yet. Is her Cantonese any good?
@cutie777 Annie Liu was in a couple of HK movies, a Taiwanese drama called “I Do,” and “Deep in the Realm of Conscience.” She can act and has the looks. Her Cantonese is decent.
@cutie777 I would like to see Tracy! Her acting isnt great but I like her. I would lie to see selena too
@michelle2805 I like Tracy Chu too especially in “Over Run Over” with Vincent Wong.
@cutie777 Zoie Tam! But doubt she will be play the lead with Raymond.
@bearbear that would be great if she can be in it.
@cutie777 Tracy Chu will be an interesting choice since she has publicly expressed in the past that Raymond’s her idol.
@cutie777 benz has migrated to singapore…but if there is good money, why not? after all, he plays an important character in LW.
Line walker isn’t line walker without Charmaine…
Thank god no teh bao Charmaine who can’t act for nuts. Don’t mind Nancy or Selena. Would love Raymond to pair with Tavia again too.
No Charmain??
and please no Ail… I rather have nancy…
@michelle2805
My personal opinion:
I think Charmaine Sheh is the best actress for Raymond Lam if TVB can get both. Charmaine is good in acting vs. all the current ones in TVB. Raymond needs to have some good actress in his first series back with TVB.
Ali Lee is good just in terms of age, look, but not acting. Her acting is just so so.
Nancy Wu is good in acting, but she is not pretty enough to be partnered with Raymond Lam.
@orchid123 I have to say Nancy is prettier than Charmaine for sure.
@michelle2805
In terms of acting and look, Charmaine beats Nancy by miles.
If it is a pure action-packed series, Nancy could be a good choice, but not for a drama series with other elements, like being a sweet loving couple, etc.
As long as the male lead actor is Raymond Lam l don’t care about the actress
@aldous YES! YES! YES!!!! Agree!
I guest i’m the only one who doesnt really care that LF is making a comeback I’m more of Bosco & ROn fan and I choose nancy why not cast Mandy??? please ..please… please…. dont cast Ali i think her acting is poor dont know why she got the award last year
@sherla1019 Lol. Think about Natalie Tong why she get to win tv queen? I guess it’s the same situation that award should have been gone to either Alice Chan or Mandy Wong instead sigh.
@cutie777
Natalie must have been doing it for years to stay relevant because she was getting 2nd female lead one after another which no critical acclaim,no fans and not the best relationship history….
Can’t help but think that RL came back purely for the TV King award, to boost his popularity. He probably thought that if someone like Joe Ma can come back and win BA, he definitely can. With such a weak playing field, might as well just hand him the award now.
As for LW3, I doubt even RL could bring the ratings up.
@sol365 If the LW3 is a well-written script, good cast to support Raymond Lam and a good producer, this sequel may work out well.
However, I would prefer to have Raymond act in a totally different-themed drama series with a good script and a good partner. A good partner is very important to an artiste. Wayne Lai wouldn’t have won his first and 2nd TV King awards if his partner was not Sheren Tang. Sheren Tang was able to bring out the acting ability of Wayne, particularly in ‘No Regrets”.
I really enjoyed line Walker, the prelude wasn’t bad either. But this isn’t necessary. Tvb is just milking it now, and LF is just gonna be in a rubbish script. He should’ve returned for a brand new drama.
both are suitable.
Mandy Wong is pretty and can act. I would prefer her the most out of the three!
LF’s honeys are just glad that he is back in HK!!! Can’t wait to watch his new projects! 🙂 and the upcoming concerts! 🙂
