Why Jing Boran is Keeping Quiet About Breakup with Ni Ni
Ni Ni (倪妮) and Jing Boran‘s (井柏然) two-year relationship may have ended already. Boran dropped hints recently that he has resumed his single status. Since Boran was bound by contract obligations to work with Ni Ni in an upcoming television show, their studio preferred the breakup is handled quietly without losing fans.
In June, Ni Ni and Boran attended an event together. Although they were seated at the same table, they chose not to sit next to each other and did not interact the entire night. This was a marked difference from last year’s charity event when they could not keep their hands off each other.
A recent photo of Boran taken in Paris also showed that he wore a pinky ring, which usually signifies one’s single status. In 2013, Lynn Hung (熊黛林) had flashed a photo of herself wearing a pinky ring to announce her breakup with Aaron Kwok (郭富城).
Ni Ni’s recent interview also spoke about finding a more suitable lifestyle for herself, and hoping to face her true self. Fans felt this was also a hint that Ni Ni’s relationship with Boran is over.
If the news is true, fans feel bittersweet about the breakup. From the beginning of their relationship, Ni Ni and Boran’s romance was not regarded highly. When Ni Ni was still dating William Feng (馮紹峰), Boran had admitted in an interview that he would choose Ni Ni as his girlfriend because he admired her beauty. When Boran and Ni Ni truly became a couple, fans felt odd as Boran and William were very good friends.
However, Boran and Ni Ni’s affections for each other were obvious. They always seemed to have fun together and even wore matching lovers’ outfits on several occasions when going out. As fans wondered when the Mainland artistes would be announcing marriage plans, they were shocked to see breakup news overtaking tabloids instead.
