“Wonder Women” Actress Joey Thye Has a Law Degree

TVB drama Wonder Women <多功能老婆>, which is currently airing, features a wondrous cast of many talents. A couple of actors in the series are also singers including Miriam Yeung (楊千嬅), Pakho Chau (周柏豪), Jonathan Wong (王梓軒), and Joey Thye (戴祖儀). Among them, 24-year-old Joey is the youngest and newest to the industry. Heavily promoted by Voice Entertainment, Wonder Women is the starlet’s first attempt at acting. 

In the series, she plays Pakho’s significant other, kindergarten teacher Miss Lui. Viewers quickly took an affinity to her portrayal of an amazing girlfriend. Not only was she devoted to her other half, Ho Tin (played by Pakho), often cooking for him and worrying about his future, but she also had a pair of slender beautiful legs.

In fact, Joey already captured the hearts of many otakus with her pair of long legs while hosting Cantoxicating <粵講粵㜺鬼>. However, more viewers are getting to know her through Wonder Women. Her number of followers on Instagram exceeded 100,000, showing her rise in popularity!

What most people don’t know is that Joey graduated with a law degree in the United Kingdom. Still, she did not pursue a career in the legal field. Instead, she took on street performing to share music with everyone, and then she joined Voice Entertainment last year as a singer. The company promoted her, and she gradually gained popularity and swept multiple newcomer awards.

In addition to developing her music and acting career, Joey will join the cast of Sidewalk Scientist <學是學非>, so the audience will have more opportunity to see her on TV.
