Gracing a Macao Tennis event, Wu Chun (吳尊) is delighted to hold an autograph session after so long, this time in a refreshed capacity as an athlete.

On his move to Shanghai
“I haven’t held autograph sessions since forever, so I’m really happy as I can see all my fans close-up…” Recalling the time when the boy band he was a part of, Fahrenheit (飛輪海), used to attract millions of fans to queue up for the four idols’ signatures, he said, “I still recall the scenario, the wait could sometimes last up to 7 or 8 hours and it’d be 1 or 2am by the time we wrap…it’s really a fantastic memory,”

Now based in Shanghai, Wu Chun feels that he has made the right decision in relocating his family to China. “Now my family is doing well, especially the children, they’re doing really well with learning Mandarin Chinese, moving to Shanghai was because I wanted them to get in touch with Chinese culture, letting them learn Chinese is a great reward,”
Sharing on his insomnia issue earlier at a fan meet, the 45-year-old adds, “I’ve always had trouble sleeping, but I’ve grown used to it over more than twenty years, I don’t get over six hours of sleep each day, but to me it’s a good thing, as it means I can get more things done,” Does his doctor have any special therapies to improve his situation? “The doctor tells me not to think so much, and has prescribed a routine as part of my ongoing treatment, to help me get better rest,”\

Hamakimi Enters 20th Year
Expressing surprise that his classic drama Hanazakarino Kimitachihe <花樣少年少女>, filmed with then co-star Ella Chen (陳嘉樺), will soon celebrate its 20th anniversary, Wu Chun said, “I think my kids have also watched it and they like it a lot, I’m really thankful to the fans who support Hanakimi,” and ended on a plea for fans to relive the moments by rewatching the drama. Asked about whether he is interested to go back to the small screen, Wu Chun said, “I really want to get involved when I watch movies sometimes, but I can’t overcome my attachment to the family, I don’t like the feeling of being apart from the kids, so right now, family is my top priority,”

Filming “The Butterfly Lovers” with Charlene Choi, 2018.

Recalling the times he used to film in Hong Kong, first with Hong Kong actress Charlene Choi (蔡卓妍) and later with Taiwanese actress Barbie Hsu (徐熙媛), Wu Chun shared, “Especially the crew members would take special care of me as they know I’m a foodie, so they’d buy some delicious food for me, there’re many restaurants I wanna try every time I visit Hong Kong,” Emphasizing how Charlene is also a foodie like himself, he recalls, “She’d always pass me tasty snacks, earlier we were in Japan and she also brought me around to try all the places with good food, I think Hongkongers really love eating.”
