Xu Kaicheng in New Fencing Drama, “Boys to Men”
At the 25th Shanghai Television Festival which took place earlier, rising Chinese actor, Xu Kaicheng (徐开骋) promoted his new fencing drama, Boys to Men <拜托啦师兄>. His co-stars Wang Jiayao (王家姚), Fan Jinyu (范津玮) and Zhou Yixuan (周艺轩) were also present.
During the production meeting, Xu Kaicheng and his fellow co-stars had revealed their fencing uniform and passionately asserted themselves as the fencing brothers. The actor also sought to promote his drama by giving an introductory lesson online on the rules and skills needed to practice fencing properly. He also employed a home shopping TV style to describe the best points of the drama. Fan praised his light-hearted humor and positive energy.
Boys to Men is a youth fencing drama that revolves around the fencing genius Ouyang (portrayed by Xu Kaicheng), who experiences life’s ups and down on his 20th birthday. Right after achieving the world championship, he gets into a motorbike crash and falls in a coma. Waking up five years later, he finds out that his father has passed away and his girlfriend and family business have been taken by his best friend. Struggling to come to terms with everything, he rediscovers his passion for fencing. With the help from his tutor and a mysterious person, he regains his motivation and strive towards the time he was at the peak of his career.
It is rumored that Boys to Men will be aired this summer. Fans are excited to see Xu Kaicheng’s performance after his successful portrayal of a domineering CEO in Well Intended Love <奈何BOSS要娶我>.
