Yoyo Mung Leads Happy Life in Japan
In their 10th year of marriage, Yoyo Mung (蒙嘉慧) and Ekin Cheng (鄭伊健) have been living in Japan due to love for the local culture. Yoyo even started a real estate business in Japan to help Hong Kongers immigrate to the country.
A netizen recently bumped into the couple at a supermarket in Fukuoka and shared a photo of them lining up at the checkout counter. Ekin was seen pushing a shopping cart full of food and daily necessities. The 56-year-old actor showed signs of his age, while Yoyo gained more “happy weight.”
After marriage, Yoyo retired from showbiz and was no longer burdened with maintaining a celebrity appearance and a slim physique. Since relocating to Japan, she often appeared without makeup and preferred to dress in casual clothes.
Yoyo admitted Ekin had encouraged her to lose weight. In 2020, on Ekin’s 53rd birthday, Yoyo posted on Instagram asking, “Husband, if I become fat in the future…” Ekin immediately replied, “We don’t need to wait for the future–you’re already fat.” Despite the banter, the couple always appear sweet whenever they are spotted in public.
