Yoyo Mung Returns to Support Ekin Cheng’s Hong Kong Concert

It has been nine years since Yoyo Mung (蒙嘉慧) and Ekin Cheng (鄭伊健) are married. Although many were skeptical of the union due to Ekin’s “eternal bachelor” image, the couple’s devotion and compatibility carried their marriage through the years.

Having met in 2006 from an accidental badminton setup by mutual friend Lai Lok Yi (黎諾懿), Yoyo and Ekin immediately connected due to their playful nature and athletic interests. When they first started dating, Ekin discovered Yoyo was twice as active as he was–the majority of their dates consisted of jogging, diving, cycling, badminton, and skiing. They also love playing video games and can easily spend the entire day in front of their screens. In fact, the couple was previously spotted “catching Pokémon” outside using the Pokémon Go app.

The couple are both very filial and support each other’s family members when in need. When Yoyo’s mother and grandmother died, Ekin promised to “take care of Yoyo for the rest of his life.” The couple held a private wedding in 2013 in Tokyo. Ekin praised Yoyo as someone who is  straightforward, honest, and loving. Whenever he is with her, Ekin can let down all his defenses and be his true self.

Despite their playful nature, both Yoyo and Ekin prefer to keep their relationship out of the media’s watch. The couple has been spending increasing time in Japan, where Yoyo is currently studying and started a local business. However, she will be flying back to support Ekin concert, Here and Now 2022, as it runs through November at the Hong Kong Coliseum.
