Yumiko Cheng and Andy Leung Hold Wedding Banquet
EEG singer, Yumiko Cheng (鄭希怡) and make-up artist Andy Leung (梁學儲) held their wedding banquet at the Harbour Grand Kowloon Hotel. The couple got married in Ko Samui, Thailand in November 2013 and held a larger traditional Chinese banquet today to include more guests. Surrounded by their good friends, Yumiko and Andy had a memorable celebration filled with outrageous games.
Festive Bridal Games
Joey Yung (容祖兒), Charlene Choi (蔡卓妍), and Gillian Chung (鍾欣潼), were Yumiko’s bridesmaids and wore matching pink dresses. Joey anchored the traditional tea ceremony for Yumiko in the morning. Joey said, “I especially went on the Internet to look for auspicious sayings during the tea pouring.”
Gillian revealed that the groom gave the bridesmaids a lucky packet of $19,999 HKD during the bridal games. Andy and the groomsmen–which included Edmond Leung (梁漢文), Wilfred Lau (劉浩龍), and Sam Lee (李璨琛)–wore bras, ballerina dresses, stockings over their heads, and even ate “poop-filled” diapers.
Teased about catching the bridal bouquet later in the evening, Joey and Charlene admitted that they have already caught the bouquet many times at friends’ weddings in past years.
Star-Studded Guest List
At approximately 6 p.m., Yumiko and Andy arrived at the banquet hall with their bridal party of 30 friends. As the couple has not officially registered their marriage, Yumiko did not wear a wedding band, but flashed her four-carat diamond engagement ring.
The newlyweds want to spend more time with each other and do not have immediate plans to have children yet. Andy said he will cherish Yumiko as his wife, even signing a contract to take good care of her. Yumiko revealed the terms, “He can’t drink too much alcohol and can’t talk back. He has to love me whole-heartedly.”
Yumiko especially thanked EEG founder, Albert Yeung (楊受成) for his generosity. “Mr. Yeung paid for many of the banquet tables. He put in both money and effort.”
Additional guests at the banquet included Nicholas Tse (謝霆鋒) and his parents Patrick Tse (謝賢) and Deborah Li (狄波拉), Chin Ka Lok (錢嘉樂) and wife Angela Tong (湯盈盈), Sherman Chung (鍾舒漫), Deep Ng (吳浩康), Cally Kwong (鄺美雲), Grace Yip (葉佩雯), Cheung Tat Ming (張達明), Eddie Ng (吳國敬), Jade Kwan (關心妍), Calvin Choi (蔡一智) and his wife.

The bridesmaids dress looks like pink tube towels..LOL
Some of the ladies can make it look sexy, but some are just drowned it it. It looks cheaply made! I am a fan of her bridal dress bottom either! Looks cheaply made too.
No offense, Hk people has the worst taste for bridesmaid dresses….they should learn from Brides from Indonesia
Well… They can’t be prettier than the bride. So many chose bad dresses or dresses that don’t outshine the bride. Personally I don’t think it’s that bad, I wouldn’t mind wearing it. There are worse bridesmaid dresses I seen that I wouldn’t bring myself to wearing.
Is she one of the female artistes who were in the infamous Edison sex tape? If I’m not mistaken, Joey Yung is also in the list.
joey yung was not
yumiko had her own share of bad news
sooo agreed, the bridesmaid’s dresses are so ugly. it’s like bathing towel. bad taste..
They should’ve just worn a plain strapless pink dress
The bride’s gaudy jacket is quite ugly too.
That’s the traditional Chinese wedding gown.
nevertheless, it’s garish. The styling of ancient traditional Chinese wedding dresses are far more tasteful and elegant than the ones after the 17th century and later.
it needs to keep the bride pretty hahahahhah
Then the bridesmaids should wear sacks over their heads too, to hide their pretty faces! Or better yet, have no bridesmaids, then all the attention is on you! :-p
Is Yumiko part Japanese?
No she isn’t, Yumiko is actually from Shanghai. She was given the Japanese nickname “Yumiko” by her friends in secondary school, and upon signing with EEG, adopted it as her official stagename. (source from wikipedia)
I hope they didn’t have to pay a hefty price tag for those dresses, don’t care if it’s by Barney cheng….those dresses are more appropriate for clubbing. Yumiko’s gown is simple, bridesmaid should have opt for something simple and classy.
The groom doesn’t look too happy
the bridesmaids dress are ugly! look frumpy and the shape is just bad.
What on earth is going on here? There are so many bridesmaids and grooms-men. The bigger your wedding party, the more cool you are? Did I not receive the guide to being fabulous or something?
The bride definitely looks stunning compared to her oh so unattractive bridesmaids. Those dresses only complement the really tall super skinny girl, everyone else looks like they’re dressing up like a baby doll for a costume party. Very much a “what were you thinking?” moment.
