Zhang Ziyi Celebrates Son’s First Birthday

On New Year’s Day, Zhang Ziyi (章子怡) and husband Wang Feng (汪峰) commemorated their son’s first birthday as a family in a heartwarming celebration. With their son sitting on Wang Feng’s lap and Zhang Ziyi embracing her stepdaughter Wang Manxi (汪曼熙) and five year-old daughter, the family were a portrait of bliss. Despite his eyes being masked by a sticker, their son looks adorable with his chubby, rosy cheeks and birthday crown.

Grateful for Children’s Well-being

In her post, the 41-year-old actress expressed her gratitude for the children’s health. “January 1, 2021, our son is one and can already say ‘Daddy’ and ‘Mommy’ and walk supported. When asked which part of him pines for Mommy, he would signal [the answer] by beating his chest right away without hesitation.”

The actress went on to praise her younger daughter, who recently turned five, for diligently sticking to an hour of piano practice every day even during festive occasions. Her 15-year-old stepdaughter has already grown up into a pretty young lady, adding that she has done well both in school as well as in dancing and songwriting.

No More “Extreme dieting”

Responding to criticism that she has lost her “Goddess” looks on several occasions when the actress returned to work postpartum looking less than glamorous, Ziyi said she would tone down on her weight loss to avoid having her family members worry about her. Her studio had previously shared news of her postpartum weight of 108 pounds. “In the new year, I would no longer resort to extreme dieting. My wish is that everyone can breathe freely.
