Zhao Liying and Wang Yibo’s “Legend of Fei” Releases New Trailer
Upcoming Mainland Chinese drama Legend of Fei <有翡> is drumming up excitement as it marks the comeback of one of China’s hottest actresses, Zhao Liying (also known as Zanilia Zhao 趙麗穎). Although the air date has yet to be confirmed, a recently released trailer heightened expectations for the impending premiere this year. Fans are excited to see what chemistry Liying will bring about in Legend of Fei with The Untamed <陳情令> star Wang Yibo (王一博).
In the series, Liying plays fierce martial artist Zhou Fei, who runs away from home at the age of 13 and faces immediate danger. She is fatefully rescued by Yibo’s character, talented fighter Xie Yun. They soon part ways and individually work on polishing their martial arts and sword skills. Three years later, they cross paths once again as powerful and skilled martial artists. Together, they form a formidable team in fighting against assassins while navigating and surviving the pugilistic world.
Despite the main leads’ 10-year age gap, Liying’s well-kept youthful appearance closed the decade between them. As shown in the trailer, Liying returned to the small screen in great condition. She displayed a fit physique and glowing appearance when she filmed Legend of Fei, her first television series after giving birth last March. With blood splattered on her face and a movement of ease during fight scenes, the actress proved to viewers that she has still got her game.
The trailer brought about an added excitement as it reminded fans of Liying’s iconic performance in the 2017 drama, Princess Agents <特工皇妃楚乔传>. Since Liying and Yibo both found success through their historical action roles, fans are eager to see the two shine even greater together.

ZLY not only has to close the 10 year age gap between her and WYB, she also need to look much younger because WYB’s character in the novel is 7 years older than her character.
She does not look 16 in the filming stills showed earlier. Her age and maturity clearly showed. But, in this trailer she does look convincing as a younger girl. Hope she and WYB has good chemistry.

Well she is a wife and mother now so of course has that maturity that young and single girls do not have. I wonder why they could not find someone younger to be the female lead? They can be older than WYB but not 10 years older. There are plenty of young and pretty actresses these days.
@hetieshou younger actress dont have the clout and pull for this big project. Age wise can be adjusted. Just say she is older. End of story. Doesnt affect the story at all. Yibo has chemistry with everyone he acts with so no issue as well. Be more worried about story treatment.
I am looking forward to this but WYB lips stick is too red….Quite strange looking.
They made everyone too white. It made his lips red but it made her eyes red the entire time too.

I don’t mind male actors wear some lipsticks to make them look better, but I will never get used to seeing them wearing HEAVY, too red or bold color lipsticks. It’s too weird to me.
Uh, the stance that WYB show in the trailer is so weak -.- doesn’t look like he has any basically training at all, fighting scenes look pretty disappointing, and ZLY is literally rehearsing her usual moves in martial art series >_> and no, at best, they are the same age, he looks like he’s 19-23 the most. She looks 22+ (yes she looks like a young girl, but not 17-19 kinda young lol).
I didn’t notice anything until some fans decided to put the trailer in slow motion and it looked like WYB was randomly hitting something then he goes riding on somebody’s shoulders. Whoever composed the fight scenes is sure funny. ZLY moves are really weak too, same thing like Princess Agents and already know there will be lots of stunts.
I think it’s because she’s always have this cute baby face that’s why even thou she might be older but still looks relatively cute when paired up w/younger guys unlike some who we can tell straight away. Yang Mi/Joe Chen – They all look older when pairing up w/younger guys.

I think Joe Chen has a baby face but yes, they should not pair her up with guys that are too much younger or else it would look strange.
ZLY fans are so dumb, she looks (acting wise too) exactly like YM. The only difference is her face is wider.

Wang Yibo rules. He looks fine. Zhan liying looks like repeat of princess agent. She looms fierce. I dont mind the 10 year gap. Characterisation can always switch, she being older, he being younger. Makes no difference from what I understand. My worry is this director is same as princess agent which he screwed up so badly I’m traumatised till now. I also dont like dubber for yibo. Other than that I think everyone will do well. Yibo is a fine actor, and this is a departure from usual pouty sucky role. Probably closer to his own age. Am eager to watch. Those who says yibo cant act needs to wash eyes. He is a force to be reckoned with and hes only 23. Watching gank your heart, atypical idol drama but hes natural in his performance which is rare for idol dramas.
