Zhao Liying to Star in New Miniseries with Lei Jiayin

After wrapping up her comeback television drama Legend of Fei <有翡>, Zhao Liying (赵丽颖) was scheduled to begin filming Xin Fu Dao Wan Jia <幸福到万家> (aka “Happy Wan Family”) directed by Empresses in the Palace’s <后宫·甄嬛传> Zheng Xiaolong (郑晓龙). As filing for Wan Jia has now been postponed indefinitely, Zhao Liying has to find some other work to fill in her time.

According to Chinese media reports, Zhao Liying has been spotted filming new miniseries Who Is The Killer? <谁是凶手>, a web miniseries that also stars Lei Jiayin (雷佳音). Not much is known about the series, except that it will be set in a hospital, and that Zhao Liying stars as a doctor.

Who Is The Killer is produced by iQIYI’s Miwu Theater, which specializes in producing short thrillers under 20 episodes. Their most recent miniseries—The Bad Kids <隐秘的角落>—earned an 8.9 out of 10 rating on Douban.
