Zhao Wei Starts Filming New TV Series “As Long As We Are Together”
Zhao Wei (赵薇) has already started work for her comeback TV series As Long As We Are Together <学区房>, a family drama directed by Wang Jun (汪俊).
As Long As We Are Together follows several couples in modern-day China, and the barriers they have to overcome to raise their children and care for their aging parents. During this process, the couples grow and learn more about themselves on how to be nurturing parents and filial children.
The drama also stars Qin Hao (秦昊) and Wang Ou (王鸥).
“Children and education are not everything,” said director Wang Jun. “There’s more to life than just that. We also need love from family, friends, and also, from romance.”
Zhao Wei stars as He Jiaru and Qin Hao as Ye Yifan, parents of a young son who are determined to buy a new house in a district where their son could attend its top elementary school. The couple’s different attitudes toward life and their shared values create conflicts within the family.
Zhao’s last TV drama was 2015’s Tiger Mom <虎妈猫爸>, starring opposite Tong Dawei (佟大为).
