Zhou Xun, Wallace Chung Collaborate in “Meet Miss Anxiety”
Mainland Chinese film Meet Miss Anxiety <我的早更女友> will be released on December 5. Starring Zhou Xun (周迅), Tong Dawei (佟大為), Wallace Chung (鍾漢良), and Zhang Zilin (張梓琳), the story follows a perky woman who enters an “early menopause” phase due to the stresses of romantic relationships.
The film is directed by South Korean director Kwak Jae Yong (郭在容), famous for his 2001 Korean comedy My Sassy Girl and the 2008 Japanese drama film My Girlfriend Is a Cyborg.
At a press conference in Beijing on November 4, the cast introduced the film. Wallace, who portrays Zhou Xun’s ex-boyfriend, revealed that Meet Miss Anxiety is his first film with the Chinese actress.
“We’ve never collaborated before. This time it’s real. On our first meeting we had to do a very intimate scene. It was very embarrassing, but it got much easier later on because we are all young people and we’ve gotten close,” said Zhou Xun.
Wallace has filmed comedies before, but Meet Miss Anxiety was a new challenge for him. “In this film, it talks about how I don’t know how to cherish my girlfriend and I’m a workaholic. It’s very different from my previous roles, so it is another new challenge for me.”
With Wallace’s busy schedule, Zhou Xun said Wallace often looked tired on set. She urged fans to give Wallace more support. “Please care for him more!”
