Aaron Kwok Invites Jolin Tsai to Perform on “So You Think You Can Dance”
Hong Kong singer/dancer Aaron Kwok (郭富城) recently invited Taiwanese singer Jolin Tsai (蔡依林) to appear on a special episode of China’s So You Think You Can Dance <中國好舞蹈>.
Often called Asia’s “king of dance,” Aaron currently serves as a judge on the new Chinese dancing talent show, which began broadcasting in April. The newest recorded episode of So You Think You Can Dance will feature special performances from 12 remaining contestants, from which three will be selected to move on to the next round.
The special episode gave Aaron the chance to invite Jolin, who is known as Asia’s “dancing queen,” to perform as his partner. On that day, Aaron was dressed in a navy blue suit, paired with red trousers, while Jolin had donned a tight-fitting, pink dress with 15-centimeter-tall high heels. Their performance together led to much screaming from the audience.
To Jolin’s surprise, some of the male contestants on So You Think You Can Dance also wore high heels. “Everyone should stand up and applaud females who wear high heels to dance,” she said. “Males who wear high heels to dance are even more deserving of applause.” To her, it takes an immense amount of practice to display confidence while dancing in high heels.
Apart from performing onstage, Aaron also hoped that Jolin would be able to console the contestants who did not make the cut. He shared that after witnessing the effort each participant had forth, it was extremely difficult for him to decide which three should go on, and that he even lost sleep over the decision.
Despite the harsh competition of So You Think You Can Dance, Aaron said he felt fortunate to be able to meet all of the students on the show, since the one thing he was able to give them was his 30-plus years of dancing experience. “If it weren’t for dance, the Aaron Kwok you know today would not exist,” he said.

i don’t think jolin dances the best in asia….
it also depends on the type of dance
i agree, it’s more like acrobatic moves?
jolin is one of the top artist that “wants” to dance. she tries her best, and she’s not that bad. so why make the world harsh. it’s good to try. bravo~
Does anyone have a link to the actual dance? I really want to see. Thank you
It’s not shown yet. I think this is just filming. The audition round just finished last week, so I think this is to be shown in this weeks episode on Zhejiang TV.
hahaha! can both of them actually sing “LIVE”?
yup! jolin sings actually pretty well in “live” :DDD
I remembering watching her dance live once and it was amazing! (:
