“Bachelors at War”‘s Sharon Secretly Dated During Filming
Reality dating show Bachelors at War <求愛大作戰> ended on June 28 to lukewarm reception and controversies. While the finale was somewhat heartwarming, particularly when judge Queenie Chan (陳莉敏) accepted contestant Cyrus‘s pursuit, the Internet is abuzz instead with behind-the-scenes gossips.
Bachelors goddess Sharon‘s “Princess Syndrome” behavior has earned her negative comments since the show aired. Last week, Sharon was also caught grocery shopping with a male friend. She later admitted that her companion is her boyfriend and revealed that they have been dating for three months.
While reality show contestants rarely find true love and end up dating others after the show, Sharon was dating throughout the project! Recently, Hong Kong media discovered a video clip where former contestant/spy DJ Chris interviewed Sharon, who accidentally let slip that she was not single during the filming of the show. In the clip, Chris repeatedly asked Sharon when she began dating her boyfriend, confronting her about secretly dating during the show. Sharon was at a loss for words, but said, “When did we begin? I can’t remember! I was with him while filming the program. I didn’t try to hide it… it depends on how you define ‘boyfriend’.”
Current reports also claim that Bachelors at War‘s production team knew about Sharon’s dating status, but allowed her to compete anyway. A source revealed that the male contestants eventually discovered the fact, and that was the reason why no one dared to pursue Sharon at the end. “The guys didn’t know about it at first. Once they found out the truth and saw Sharon’s real self, they began disliking her. They would also group together and complain about Sharon pretending to be single and holding up a goddess spot.”
Despite these conflicts, the bachelors and their goddesses are generally friendly in public. The group was often seen meeting up for meals and watching the show together.

I enjoyed the show, but wish each episode was 10 mins longer and showed more interaction amongst the participants. Wish they had better girls without as much attitude. Liked how some of the boys developed.
Wonder how Queenie and Cyrus are doing, and how Whitney and Rockie are holding up.
i agree with you there, the show could’ve been a bit longer.
i think queenie and cyrus are still good. the other two was just for the sake of the show. i’ve seen news on whitney with some leng mo’s ex or something.

She’s not pretty. This is her with make-up (albeit, sure, she’s crying).

You do realise some girls’ actually look a lot better without makeup…also, people don’t just pop out into this world and choose whether or not they’d like to be pretty or ‘ugly’. Sounds like a crime to have looks/features that are less pleasing.

I think they would be great together. Sharon looks like a flatfish, and Rocky’s face makes him look like a rock. If they dated each other, they would live happily ever after under the sea hahahaha 😀

Don’t laugh but Rocky actually came out as the winner in the show. He got a girl to accept his flower and I heard he is actually dating the director of the show who is actually better looking at that old plastic Queenie.

I like this type of show, much better than the usual TVB shows. TVB should make more reality shows with just regular people (no celebrities)
Just watching the last episode alone was enough to make me yawn for a year from boredom. Personally, I dont understand why these dating games are meant to be a show for people to watch. Chances are , being emotionally hurt would be 10 times worse after rejection knowing that your rejection will be filmed for the entire world to see and on top of that having the need to respond to questions /being interviewed post rejections. If they truly wanted to find a guy or girl, I think most wouldn’t go for a reality show to find their other half. A show for humiliation and criticism.

I’ve never watched this show before, but was curious so I just went ahead and watched the last episode online. And DAYMN, the article did not over exaggerate or lie about her having ‘Princess disease/behaviour’. Just watching the last episode, Sharon’s words of self defence really might have just made me gag.
I admire girls who have confidence in themselves and express it, but at the same time, being too confident to the point of being and showing how self centred one is and lacking in humbleness is repulsive imo .
The funny thing was, whilst claiming her superioty over those who hated her and to all the bachelors who did not choose her, she literally looked like her had bawled her eyes out over her rejection, ironically enough lol…
What I want to know is the “aftermath” of the contestants!?! How to find out?
Did Carol give Justin a chance and go on a date after the show? I mean Im sure Carol was shocked because all along Vivien said that Justin is her’s!
Whitney was faced with option of Rocky or Ah Gai?

This is testament of how poor this series was. The ending was horrible. The director thought that throwing a “twist” ending where Cyrus went after Queenie was enough entertainment but in reality, it didn’t provide any closure for the audience. Instead, we were left with many questions. Horrible show.
Whitney is currently dating a guy that is married before.
Carol and Justin are still friends at the moment. They are hanging out and having dinner together. Being more than friends is possible.
Thomas said he is seeing someone, almost at a girlfriend stage.
