Louis Cheung Receives 3 Nominations for TVB Anniversary Awards
For the 48th TVB Anniversary Awards, Louis Cheung (張繼聰) will be competing for three awards – Best Supporting Actor, Most Favorite Male Character, and Most Improved Actor. Receiving widespread support for his drastic portrayals of the tragic Marco in Black Heart, White Soul <忠奸人> and the comedic Mario in Come On, Cousin <老表，你好hea!>, Louis is a hot favorite to win at least one award.
Louis, who had a successful Cantopop singing career before joining TVB in 2012, shot to television stardom after appearing in the critically-acclaimed Inbound Troubles <老表，你好嘢！>. Since then, Louis has starred in five popular TVB dramas, which were highly-rated during their broadcasts runs.
In October, Louis received the Best New TVB Artiste award at Singapore’s StarHub TVB Awards, which was regarded as only the beginning of Louis’ critical success.
The 35-year-old said he has always maintained the mindset of a rookie while filming television dramas. “I’m afraid that I’ll start relaxing when I remain as an actor for too long. The StarHub award was a reminder for me.” Louis has never thought about competing with anyone. “Thinking too much about it will make me very scared!”
Louis does not regard himself as handsome, which he sees as beneficial to his acting career. “People say I can let go of all my baggage when I’m acting. That’s because I don’t need to worry about looking good!”
Regarding his thoughts on TV Queen and TV King, Louis immediately said Charmaine Sheh (佘詩曼) and Roger Kwok (郭晉安) have the highest chances of winning. Praising both artistes as being experienced, Louis was especially supportive over co-star Roger, “I’m biased. [Roger] and I talk so much with each other that we wouldn’t want to leave. When it comes to acting, he is definitely a top actor. I always had the urge to beat him up when we filmed Black Heart, White Soul.”
Louis added, “Roger admires my performance and he would not suppress me. He lets me do whatever I want, and he is always ready with a comeback even during my improvisations. It feels like I’m under his clutches all the time!”

I honestly hope he goes home with an award but most of those nomination is against the hot favorite Sammy as well… either way whoever wins Sammy or Louis both are superb and have lots of opportunity ahead.
Best Supporting should go to Power. Louis has a shot with the other two.
Agree with you that Power deserve the best supporting actor and Louis deserve the best improved artiste.
Dude, Best Supporting should got to Ram Tseung his year with his rare chance of sudden popularity! He’s been a great actor since his first role in Files of Justice!

He is definitely going home with an award that night. It just depends if it is Best Supporting or Most Improved.
Louis should get either MI or BSA but for BSA there is competition from Foon Hei Gor and for MI, TVB is promoting Sammy highly
Louis could lose out all together.
Sammy Shum is a shoe in for Most improved Actor. which leaves Louis for Best Supporting Actor and the 2 contenders there are Power Chan and Benz Hui who are both strong contenders.
Hope they give it to Power. Benz is too overhyped. Year and and year out, the favored few keep sharing the awards among themselves.
Sorry but if he wins anything at TVB, I will not watch the station anymore. He and his wife disgusts me.

Am I the only one who does not really like Louis Cheung? He was good as Marco in BHWS, but I don’t really like his other dramas.
In terms of those nominated in most improved, for females Samantha Ko is probably going to get it. And Males, I hope it is Sammy or Jason (Jason did improve evidently in OA.)
Copied that too. I really like his look and character in BHWS because thats the first drama I saw him in. But Come On Cousin pushed his image down for me.
His a bit old too which feels a bit weird for a newcomer but i think he deserves his nomination.
I think his highest chance is Most Favourite Male character, but this years competition is tough.

Louis is good in acting but I honestly think this years best supporting actors award should go to Power Chen he did pretty well in Overacheivers !!
