Myolie Wu’s “Wine Beauty” Reveals 4-Minute Preview
Mainland Chinese drama Wine Beauty <紅酒俏佳人>, which stars Hong Kong actress Myolie Wu (胡杏兒), Taiwanese actor Roy Chiu (邱澤), and mainland Chinese actress Li Sheng (李晟), recently released a collection of character posters, as well as a four-minute-long preview. As mainland China’s first television drama on wine tasting, Wine Beauty promises viewers a feast for the eyes with its suspenseful plot and grand settings.
The story of Wine Beauty revolves around Shen Yiman (Myolie Wu), a leading figure in the wine industry who is mired in previous upsetting memories and enmities. Because she was hurt by loved ones in the past, she lacks a sense of security in her current life. Unfortunately, her life soon takes a turn for the worse: her stepmother, Dan Li (Joy Pan 潘儀君), tries to constrain her; her boyfriend, Zhao Xi (Mao Zijun 茅子俊), leaves her at the altar; and her friends betray her.
Roy Chiu plays Shen Zihao, Yiman’s stubborn and unruly cousin. Zihao was born into an aristocratic wine family but does not seem to have inherited the same genes, as his passion lies in rock ‘n roll music instead. By accident, he meets Lin Xuan (Li Sheng), a country girl who has traveled to Shenzhen to look for her ex-boyfriend Zhao Xi. In order to win back his love, she studies the art of wine tasting, with some help from Zihao, and becomes the newly discovered darling among wine professionals. However, her relationship with Shen Yiman is fraught with tension; on one hand, Lin Xuan admires her for her knowledge of wine, but on the other, the two clash as love rivals.
Throughout the preview, Yiman, Zihao, and Lin Xuan go through many trials and tribulations in their love lives and careers. Will Yiman be able to regain her confidence and emerge from this low point in her life? Will Zihao’s rock ‘n roll dreams survive? And will Lin Xuan be able to find happiness in this big city?

oh they didn’t dub their voices?!
A lot of modern dramas aren’t dubbed but sometimes the trailer can be misleading.
Their accents aren’t that strong to me.
If they haven’t finished postproduction, they might not have finished all the dubbing yet so it makes sense that they just had the actors speak the few lines.
Li Sheng looks a little like Vicki Zhao.
She played Xao Yan zi in Hzgg so not surprised

Yup agreed myolie always looks young for her age but I am shocked how old she looks in this poster. I think her hair is too short. I prefer her with shoulder length bob.
She also looks old in the trailer. Aside from the step mother, Myolie looks older than everyone else.
its not hard to look older if they put you in a mature hairstyle, and you are actually older than everyone else (except the stepmom) 😛 The actor portraying her boyfriend, is born in 1986! That’s a 7 years difference. lol

mainland dramas are so boring. even the mainland actors and actresses are worse than the HK ones.
Myolie’s mandarin is ok! But the story is NOT ok. Oh so cliche! Hopefully they won’t dub, pls don’t dub but my feeling is they will at least dub Myolie.
Feels like Myolie and the stepmom have a bigger role than Li Sheng after watching the trailer.

First Myolie is pai with the other mainland (I think) male. Second Roy is pair with the new avtress of china. Third myolie look a litle bit weird in the poster is not her fault.

dislike roy’s acting and his person. without myolie’s popularity to help the series will be a flop for sure since roy is hated object in china now after he cheated on tiffany tang.
Do you really have split personality? You supported Roy Chiu in the issue with Tiffany once, and when he dun pair up with Myolie, you turned to be against him? Would you mind to stop aiming Myolie?
No you’re wrong. You can check back all the Tiffany-Roy war topics. I’ve never supported Roy. I may have called Tiffany having something done to her face but all along I think if Roy really did two timing on Tiffany, he’s at fault. I also questioned Roy’s manager from the beginning.
I think this drama is going to be interesting. Have seen Myolie acting in a lot of HK drama, her acting is solid and from the trailer, she gives out a strong aura. Can’t wait to see Roy and Myolie together as siblings. + love that it’s not dubbed!
